Carson Wentz Superflex Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Carson Wentz Superflex Value

Postby AZK » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:42 am

All of you Superflex guys where do you rank Wentz after his hot start?

What would it take for you to move him if you owned him or what would you pay to get him if you wanted him?

I own him in a league as my QB3 behind Ben and Matty Ice. Drafted him 1.06 and it would probably take multiple firsts now for me to consider moving him. Now I am also an Eagles fan so weigh that in, but he looks like the real deal. He is headed on the path of Rodgers, Luck, Big Ben for future production and I don't think I am getting ahead of myself.

He is borderline untouchable in the leagues I have him because he is a pro style QB in a league where there just won't be many of them in 3 yrs.

History will show that Cleveland trading down from 2 instead of taking Wentz will be as colossal a mistake as when they took Tim Couch instead of Donovan McNabb.

I was able to snag him at 2.07 in a Superflex league and I still not sure 2 1sts would get me to move him. He is playing too well now for an owner to move him without getting a large amount for him.

Um what? Thats just insane.

Yeah two firsts sounds about right, but even then it depends on if they are early or late firsts. He looks really good.

2 random 1sts for sure. Probably take more for me to accept that unless I could assure one of them was upper tier.

His value, IMO, is a top 25 startup pick in a superflex now. He would go in the same tier with Carr/Bortles/Mariota were going, which was typically mid-late 2nd round. Probably ahead of Bortles at this point. Maybe ahead of Mariota too.

Echo in with 2 firsts, and I wouldn't want them both to be late. Looks like legit QB1

I own him in a league (2qb start) as my QB4 at this point as I have big ben, matty ice and bortles, and I would really not be interested in moving him period unless I was blown away. He has the upside to be a stud, but in my opinion at the very worst he should be a mainstay starting QB in the NFL, and quite frankly those are hard to come by

Preseason I denied an offer for Wentz and 17 1st for Dalton. Now I don't think I would be able to get Wentz straight up for Dalton.

I have him in a 16 team equivalent superflex (with full high scoring IDP). At this point, I think he's a solid hold unless I got something that completely blew me away. Looks like the real deal.

hes only getting better (and IFF he hit his ceiling, its a pretty good ceiling)...you may not be able to even get him if he plays better week 5

Well that was just dumb...even if you didn't know Wentz would explode (especially with that collection of RBs and WRs)! In a 10-team league, Dalton can't have much more value than a 17 first on his own.

At the time, I didn't have Carr and Prescott was still a prospect and I wasn't too high on the QBs in this class (little did I know). Regardless, in a superflex Dalton is worth at least two 1sts. I'm shopping him around and hoping to get some pieces to build around Winston, Carr, Prescott. Got a couple high ceiling WR prospects already and can get RBs in the draft next year.
