Eddie Lacy or Thomas Rawls

Postby DTMW78 » Tue Sep 06, 2016 1:11 am

Who do you like more?
Will Lacy bounce back from his down year or will he continue to decline?
Can Rawls hold off Michael and Prosise and maintain his 5.6ypc?

I definitely like Lacy more this season. Higher floor and ceiling as only Starks will see significant touches where CMike and Procise could take touches from Rawls. I see a bounce back campaign for the whole GB offense. Lacy's prospects get much sketchier after 2016 if he moves on from GB. Rawls will not maintain his 5.6 YPC (neither will Spencer Ware or Karlos Williams if he plays), just an outlier season that will return closer to the league average.

Tis a close one in my opinion. I'm going to take Rawls off upside alone. I know lacy's floor is higher, but as an athlete I don't think he's anything special. Rawls really isn't either, but he showed a great deal of talent on his not so small workload last season. At this point I've seen what Lacy is, and I'm more excited about Rawls future in the NFL.

Tough choice .. I'd probably go with Rawls, I just don't like that Lacy could repeat another season like last year

If Lacy rebounds to what he produced his first two years in the league, which I find likely, this really isn't very close as he has no legitimate competition for what he can do. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Seattle is more of a "time share" in week 1 than they are letting on. I don't buy into the idea that they are going to keep CMike mostly on the bench in favor of a guy who has been hurt the entire off season. Rawls isn't appreciably better that he should be coming in and commanding that kind of workload.

I'm kind of shocked this is even a discussion. I would take Lacy 10/10. Lacy is locked in for the next few years while Rawls could lose out to any joe off the street. I think CMikes success this offseason shows that the Seattle offense is just plain good and anyone could step in and make some plays.

I like both guys, but give me Lacy any time. Recency bias has people forgetting the type of season Lacy put together in 2014 (a top 5 PPR back season). And again, as much as he was terrible last year: he still averaged 4.1 ypc on a very dysfunctional/crippled offense while not even cracking 200 carries for the season. Also, EVEN WITH the statistical abomination that was Lacy's third year in the league, he's still a guy who has 3900+ total yards and 29 TD's in 3 years in the league. That's a 1300 total yard and nearly 10 total TD season average.

As long as there are no big time injuries on the Packer offense this season, Lacy will put up 1400-1600 total yards and 10-14 total TD's, and the Packers will roll into the playoffs.

This is it for me. I grabbed Lacy in the offseason, and let all of my Rawls shares go. Rawls could be good, but I have a hard time seeing him being dependable week in and out.

I am big believer in Rawls this year and the in next couple of years. That being said this is still easily Lacy. Lacy has a chance for a huge year this season and I doubt he will become the blimp he was last season ago. If Lacy resigns in GB this offseason he will in the top 5 RB for the next 3-4 years.

Not a huge fan of either. But, if I were to pick one, I'd take Lacy quite easily over Rawls.

I'm a Vikings fan and kind of find myself rooting against cheeseburger but, in terms of value and in terms of likely production, I'd side with Lacy.

I'll take Lacy by virtue of the fact that his only real competition for touches is James Starks.

Rawls may have a good season, but with Michael/Prosise/Collins nipping at his heels it's more likely he shares a lot more of the pie than Eddie does. And Eddie loves him some pie.
