Re: 2016 Draft Discussion Thread
Tried pretty hard to move up for Sharpe or Moore, but couldn't get a deal done. I guess that's a drawback to going all in on a championship run. Saw that Carrol had some pretty nice things to say about Lawler in OTA's, so what the hell!

Jim didn't see your trade, offer until after I spent a touch of time, looking at the board, I would have taken it...

Re: 2016 Draft Discussion Thread
Overall I'm pretty happy with my draft. I thought getting Lynch at 1.16 and Boyd at 2.07 were great values. I think I should be able to get some production from both guys this year.
I keep hearing good things about Ferguson so I'm hoping with just a 33 year old Frank Gore in front of him that he can carve out a role.
Prescott should be the back up in Dallas at some point this year so he is only a Romo injury away from getting playing time.

I like Lynch's ceiling but he has a long way to go. I'm not that high on Boyd. But I like Ferguson...I was sortof expecting Williams to be gone at 3.06 but though Ferguson might be there and I was prepared to take him. I think Prescott is like Lynch...lots of work to do but could be pretty good.ssmith313105 wrote:Overall I'm pretty happy with my draft. Well with limited it access, I did the best I could. Wasn't planning on taking four wrs, it just turned out way. I think I found a couple of hidden gems.? Garrett is the wild card, if he makes the team. I drafted Brandon Marshall, and Josh Gordon... Can it happen again??.
Re: 2016 Draft Discussion Thread
Yeah I wasn't planning to take 3 RBs either, although I did need to bolster that position. I'm happy to get Goff, Booker, Perkins, and Williams. I think Williams is a very good back, though he's in a crappy situation in terms of opportunity at the moment. Mitchell is my wild card...the Patriots WRs are getting old and so hopefully he can get some playing time before Brady retires.citsalp1 wrote:Well with limited it access, I did the best I could. For pats info ask gdude, I liked the Mitchell pick.
Re: 2016 Draft Discussion Thread
History is not on Mitchell's side.
Re: 2016 Draft Discussion Thread
Yeah I know the Patriots have sucked at drafting WRs. I'm hoping Mitchell bucks that trend. I like his game and he plays bigger than he is.Xulu Bak wrote:History is not on Mitchell's side.
