NFL Draft Winners & Losers

Postby Fantasyfanatic11 » Thu Apr 28, 2016 8:19 pm

So with the 1st round almost complete we already have some big winners & losers with respect to fantasy (since thats what we care about here on DLF). So I guess I'll get the ball rolling and we can continue this discussion as the draft goes on the next few days.

Winners

Osweiler & Hopkins - Fuller is another weapon for Oz and takes some pressure off of Nuk.
DEN WR's - Assuming Lynch wins the job, he is a lot better than Mark Sanchez
Teddy Bridgewater - Gets a big WR to throw to, should help him take the next step
Ryan Tannehill - Tunsil was a steal at #13 assuming he keeps his crap together and is a huge upgrade to keep Tannehill upright.

Losers

Dallas RB's - All 3 lose most, if not ALL of their value as Zeke is a complete 3 down back.
DJax and Garcon - Not that most people cared about them but it seems like they will slowly be phased out with Doctson in the mix.
Foles, Bradford & Daniel - Not that they had much value anyways but Goff and Wentz are the QB's to own there.
16 team PPR

I don't think Fuller's presence will change anything positively for Hopkins. If anything - with more weapons, we may have just seen Hopkins best year. I can't see him getting 15 targets a game with Fuller & Miller.

Parker, Landry & Tannehill are all winners.

Dallas RBs are obvious losers.

Coleman, and this will be controversial to some but I think is a winner too. Hue Jackson pulled out some good years out of significantly less in Oakland.

Treadwell is a loser IMO, bad bad landing spot and I know others will disagree with this too.

If he was a "pothead" he would've failed a drug test at least once over the last 3 years....he stayed "clean" all that time according to the NCAA drug testing department, for all we know that video could be 3 years old..who knows.

While this may be true - the Vikings are in reality one of the worst spots for him.

Bridgewater is not a quarterback that fits his skillset. Bridgewater prefers to throw it to open receivers and is hesitant to let his receivers win. IF Treadwell can create separation (and that is a pretty strong if), Bridgewater will have to throw the ball with velocity to put it in a tight window because Treadwell does not have the speed to stay separated. Bridgewater cannot put a ton of velocity on his passes. I see the "Bridgewater throws short passes" argument a lot; he's not good in the medium to deep range because of the lack of velocity. On top of that, I can't see the Vikings going pass-heavy and the targets will not be there consistently.

It'll be a better real life fit than fantasy fit.

I like Treadwell, but Minnesota is a terrible spot for him. Teddy's skill set doesn't match up at all with Treadwell's.

Was confirmed as him. In the video he takes off the gas mask and it's him and he has confirmed it as well.

This made me laugh out loud. Its pretty absurd that someone would think hes seen his best year when hes nowhere near his prime.

Also as a big Smelter fan it was nice to see SF not draft a wr in the 1st round.

Idk if you know this, but there are plenty of ways to not fail a drug test... Yeah he's a stud. So are Josh Gordon, Justin Blackmon, and Martavis Bryant. You could be Joe Montana, but if you can't stay on the field it doesn't matter. Now there are texts being released where it shows that he was getting money from his college coaches. He's a mess and so are my Dolphins

I think Houston reached on Fuller.
