Madden jinx fun

Postby Salty Dawg » Tue Jan 19, 2010 7:27 pm

For anyone interested in some random feelings about the so called Madden Jinx..and who will be the guy to be on the cover and hence feel the so called wrath of the Madden Jinx.

Im a Steelers fan and when i got frustrated wiht Pitt DB's I say"why Troy why" LMFAO

Lets poke a little fun at this ridiculous theory.

for the record I say Chris Johnson will be it next year. Real clever eh?
Outside of that I wouldnt b surprised if in some weird kind of way they decided to make it Favre if Favre and the Vikings pull this off.
Is Favre even concrete on coming back (regardless of what the contract says).

Or would they dare put Ray Rice. I sure hope not. Maybe Rodgers...and once again I sure hope not.

Have at it fellas.

Its gotta be Chris Johnson. Even with the JINX, I think he will put up solid numbers, but he will most likely never produce a season like he did in '09 ever again.

I actually think he will. He was so good with Vince Young being the QB on the field.. he would´ve easily shattered Eric Dickersons record. If both of them stay healthy, I dont see a reason why he shouldn´t repeat what he did this year.

peterson turned it down last year, cj might as well. They may put two on again, that way the player has a 50% not to have a lost season

My guess is that if CJ wants to be on it, he'll get it.

And for the record, the Madden curse is no joke.

Chris Johnson will probably be on the cover...and IMO he will not get close to last seasons stats because of the Madden curse or not.

If the Jets beat the Colts...Im gonna be bold and say Revis and Brees (if they decide to use two players). If not those two then it has to be either CJ, Revis, Brees, maybe even Jared Allen...

that's a good call on Jared Allen...I could see him on the cover...

After this year, I think it will be the norm of two players on the cover. An offensive and a defensive, it just seems to fit.

That Madden cover will be Chris Johnson or Favre (or both). However, the SB could determine the cover, as well. What if Brees throws for 600 yards for the SB win? Or, if Manning throws 8 TD passes to win it?

It's still open, but the early favorites are probably in.

no way they would put two offensive players on the cover Allen.

I doubt Favre will be on the cover again so soon.
