It's being reported that QB Jake Locker of Washington will return for his senior year of college.

Let's hope he doesn't "pull a Bradford."

I really want to see him succeed in the NFL and his chance of doing that will have no doubt improved in large part due to this decision. Great move by him. He should be in the conversation for #1 overall pick in 2011.

Benn officially declares:

Illinois WR Arrelious Benn will declare for the 2010 NFL Draft at a 3PM ET news conference Wednesday

Benn is coming off a disappointing statistical season (38-490-2), but was mostly brought down by the sinking ship that is Fighting Illini football. Senior QB Juice Williams regressed in 2009, and Ron Zook's team didn't even qualify for a bowl game, finishing with the fewest wins in the Big Ten. An Anquan Boldin clone, the 6'2/220-pound Benn is a physical wideout with above-average speed. He'll almost certainly find a place in April's first round.

ECFFL (Commissioner) - Mullet Mullitia
Gridiron 3 - Hamden Hawks
UDL - Connecticut Cowboys

Fresno State RB Ryan Mathews will forgo his last season with the Bulldogs and enter the 2010 NFL Draft.

Mathews (spelled with one "T") offers ideal size at 5'11/220 and ranks No. 1 in D-I rushing, although Stanford's Toby Gerhart is likely to pass him after Bowl season. Mathews was not heavily involved in coach Pat Hill's passing game, catching just 11 balls as a junior, but averaged a scintillating 6.55 YPC. His draft stock could soar if he runs well at February's Combine.

Mathews is definitely rising up draft boards and I think he could be a top 5 fantasy pick. Great pick by Nate in the 5th round of Gridiron 3.

I agree. I figure that the first half of 2010 rookie dynasty drafts will look something like the following:

1.01 C.J. Spiller
1.02 Dez Bryant
1.03 Jonathan Dwyer
1.04 Jahvid Best
1.05 Ryan Mathews
1.06 Anthony Dixon

I agree that is a reasonable mock. If that were the case, which WR do you think should go next? Benn? Damien Williams? Lafell? Tate? Anyone else I'm forgetting?

The top 3 are all pretty solid in any order. The only guy I would disagree from a fantasy standpoint is Best at #4. To small to bring that kind of value and he will be a change of pace back I believe in the NFL. Matthews should be #4 imo.

I might swap Montario Hardesty (Vols) with Dixon at 6.

Steve is probably gonna say Lafell...he likes him alot. I like Damaryius Thomas from GT. Played in a spread offense (not WR friendly) therefore his numbers don't jump off the board but he possesses the skill set and body to be a very good NFL WR. I also like Marshwan Gilyard (Cinci) who reminds me alot of Santonio Holmes.

The second WR off the board after Bryant should be either Brandon LeFell or Golden Tate, imo. If the draft were held today I'd take Tate. But we still have bowl games, the Senior Bowl, the Combine, and pro days during which these players' values may jostle.

The next tier of WRs after that is Damian Williams, Arrelious Benn, Mardy Gilyard and Damaryius Thomas.

As much as I like Dez Bryant, I wonder a lack of speed will hurt his draft-stock.

I think his skill set will out weigh his 40 time. There are certain WR's that just don't need the speed for their style and I think he is one of them.
