2.02 Paul Perkins

This may seems like a questionable call, but I've been watching tape of this guy and I'm really like what I see. Has very good vision in between the tackles combined with patience in letting plays develop, a nasty elusiveness, and workhorse ability that makes him a really underrated prospect. Has shown that he can be both a bruiser in short yardage situations and elusive in the open field by continually making defenders miss. Wasn't the best pass catcher at UCLA, but showed an ability to turn screen passes into nice gains. Needs to become better in pass protection. Was worried about his speed. Can get to the edge in college, but was worried if he was fast enough. Showed that he is fast enough with a 4.5 40 for a 220 lb back and had a 10' plus broad to accentuate his explosiveness. If he lands in a place like Carolina or New York this guy will blow up.

Did he go out for China food with "Fat Eddie" after the combine?

What am I missing here? Perkins at 220? You must have him confused with Prosise. ??

My bad was reading a spreadsheet and read the wrong line . Either way still has the frame to hold up as a workhorse back and hasn't struggle with injuries too much with a pretty heavy workload.

tough runner who does a lot of things well. a banger insude, very quick change of direction, good speed, finishes his runs. I love how hes light on his feet which helps with those quick steps. Hes got underrated wiggle.

Sometimes he dances too much in the backfield.

A steal at this slot, I think hes got a good future in the NFL

Needs to improve his hands, but has very good athleticism and the explosion, quick-twitch to be a good route runner over time

Earlier than I think you have to pull the trigger, but strictly by my board and unable to trade down I'd go with the big guy here. 2-3 year investment so pick also assumes there is ample bench or taxi squad space to carry him through low initial returns.
