Ghurley Or David Johnson
Ghurley Or David Johnson
I enjoyed watching both, but who do you like more? The great talent that has a bionic knee on an iffy
team? Or the diamond that just got polished, on team that is well put together?
In a vacuum, who would you rather have? In currant situation, who?
I'd rather has Johnson, I just love watching him catch a ball and he has a shot to score from anywhere on the field.

Re: Ghurley Or David Johnson
I think its worth noting that Johnson and Gurley aren't that far apart in points and production. I'm a Rams fan, so I love me some Todd Gurley, but DJ has looked really good all season too. Not just these past few weeks.

Re: Ghurley Or David Johnson
Another DJ owner thread looking for confirmation in his belief that DJ is better than Gurley? No need for that. If you like DJ more, more power to you. But Gurley supporters know that what he did is far more impressive than anything DJ has done on the Cardinals roster surrounded by an all pro quarterback and hall of fame wide receiver. Remanufactured knee and all. Lol.

Re: Ghurley Or David Johnson
Gurley easily. I love me some David Johnson, but the hype he's gotten recently makes me want to start shopping him around. If I can get top 3-5ish RB value for him, I'll laugh all the way to the bank. I would accept Johnson + a mid first to get Gurley.

Re: Ghurley Or David Johnson
3 year window, PPR, I'll take David Johnson by a hair. If I knew the Rams were getting a new coach/GM next year I might go Gurley by a hair.
We can argue talent all day long but situation wise DJ has a ridiculous advantage. He's a reasonable threat to get 70+ receptions next year along with 250+ carries. Maybe Gurley gets 300+ carries (can he hold up?) but he's not getting anywhere near 70+ receptions. Just in the reception+yardage point differential alone (80ish pts) is HUGE. Even if you like Gurley more as a talent I think the usage/situation difference more than makes up for it. I also think valuing RBs in more than a 3 year window (which is the minimum time each will be on their respective teams) is a dangerous game.

Re: Ghurley Or David Johnson
If we are talking PPR - DJ easy for me.
On tape he has looked just as good as Gurley. Even statistically he matches up pretty well (and don't give me the easy schedule bit, gurley had just as easy a schedule).
Gurley is already dealing with a walking boot and alleged turf toe. I still seriously doubt he can handle a large season workload.
