Davante Adams value in 2016 picks

I need to add some strength at WR behind DT and AJG. I am a big fan of Davante Adams and the current owner said he is willing to trade him for a good offer. I feel like his value is roughly equal to a 2016 1st which I would be willing to pay. Is this about right?

I'd need more. He was basically a late 1st/early 2nd during the draft last year. His stock has only increased since then (dramatically as of late). Just swapping him out for an unknown 1st doesn't excite.

Was going to post exactly this. I personally spent the 11th overall pick on him but I coveted him and had him even higher on my wishlist than that. Also keep in mind that given recent circumstances, there's a decent chance his value will never be higher than it is at this moment.

Not for me, though I suppose context could change that. How early is the first?

My knee-jerk thought is that I'd want at least two firsts to begin thinking about it -- one is essentially reimbursing my initial investment and the second is profit (though again, it depends where the picks are and how Adams is valued now, not just where you valued him when he was taken).

Mid-late first is not fair value. Just because you really under value a guy doesnt mean that the market agrees. Look at mock drafts before the jordy injury. Adams was worth a mid to late first then. He has to be worth more now.

ive been offered two 1st's that project to be late...it just isnt worth moving adams for that imo, especially to someone who is contending. if your trade partner doesnt have a very good team...i would think that may get the deal done though.

As a fellow Adams owner I could not disagree more. As stated previously, before the Jordy injury Adams was going late 1st early 2nd in rookie drafts...Now he's going 3-4th round in start up drafts! You may be right in that he may only be worth a 1st and 2nd, but his ceiling is too high right now to settle for anything less than 2 1st round rookie picks value. Basically, no Adams owner in his right mind would move him right now without that type of overpay.

Thinking a big gap between what an excited owner would want vs someone hoping to sneak in and grab him late. This is a hard guy to get ahold of now, & I wouldn't even try with these prices. Though I do understand the owners wanting that reward.

I should clarify - I'm considering it only because I would love to grab Cooper with 1.01 but I need a RB now. I'm wondering if I should try to shop Adams for a top 10 RB who can produce now.
