Are there any FA RBs out there that SF could bring in better than Breida or Morris? Could alway make a trade but that seems unlikely.

I only own McKinnon in one league and if I can get a 2nd and an upside player for him I'll be happy. :)
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Darkwa is the only one that came to mind, but it's no slam dunk he's better than either of Morris or Breida.

That's a lame attitude, considering it's not actually poor performance that's derailed McKinnon now.

I think he'd have to look pretty bad prior to such an injury to completely eliminate himself from competing for the lead role in 2019. That said, an early injury would almost completely wipe out his value on a near permanent basis as owners can only be burned so many times before they just assume failure is inevitable.

Probably just Joe Williams or another out-of-work Shanahan guy.

FWIW, Mostert is intriguing. He played with the 1st unit the first game of the preseason. The coaches like his work ethic and professionalism, and he made a nifty 1-handed grab on the first drive of the game. I don't know if he made the cut because he was good on special teams (he was) or if he did well as a RB (he did) or both, but it's note worthy.

If said player gets hurt, is he virtually guaranteed the same role next year. I don't think you can say that with any degree of certainty for McKinnon, and so therefor I would not put a premium price on him. And by premium price I mean roughly an early-mid 1st, depending on how the draft class shakes out.
Welp, I guess we'll get to see how this thought experiment plays out in real time.

I don't understand your rationale or the similarities between Coleman and McKinnon's situation currently.

Coleman is where McKinnon was last year. A #2 behind a back that the team has invested in for the future.

Hell, if you wanted to sell Tevin you should have waited until this offseason. Selling McKinnon prior to yesterday would have brought a nice haul. Tevin may offer similar value this time next year.
