While TEs do tend to have longer careers, ATL has not been using him right (or Bijan, for that matter). He can be special, IMO, but we have to believe that ATL can change. It's like me expecting the Bears to be able to develop a QB. I'm not holding my breath.

But Atlanta could change (maybe not next year), or he could get out of there. Pitts will hit FA after his rookie deal and still be younger than when Kelce or Ertz put up their 1st 1000 yard season. Pitts did it at 21

Well... a new QB would also be a great thing but yeah: First step is taken! :)

I hope it's really as simple as the issue for Bijan, Pitts and London was A.Smith. I guess we'll find out in September. Can't be worse I suppose.

After their 1st 3 years

Pitts - 2049 Yards (149 receptions, 259 targets)
Ertz - 2024 Yards (169 receptions, 258 targets)
Kelce - 1737 Yards (138 receptions, 190 targets)

That's slightly misleading, Kelce missed his entire rookie year.

Beat me to it. Even with the stellar rookie season (TE6 finish), Pitts has been a poor ROI being he went typically with a top 3 rookie pick.

For perspective, his record setting rookie year would've essentially been what Jake Ferguson did this season in terms of fantasy totals. I've always been of the opinion to just pay up for the elite guys in their prime as opposed to drafting rookie TEs early.

Doubtful anyone who drafted Njoku and Engram early will say it's been a fun ride.

true that but it does finally leave optimism! If you roster Pitts, he is a hold...especially until we see how the coaching staff & QB plays out

Of which most people (on a dynasty football forum) should be aware, or capable of doing their own research. 8-) And just as obviously Pitts missed half of Y2.

If we count simply the 2 years of the 3 they played full seasons

Kelce 1737
Pitts 1693

In the end it is up to each person to determine the context they want to use the stats for. We can always give reasons why a player missed games, coach chose not to start, QB chose not to target ... but in the end after 3 years thats the total yardage & receptions of each of the 3 TEs mentioned.
