Even Nick Saban didn't freeze out Cooper's talent as Bad as this Oakland offense.It appears that the Black Hole has swallowed up whatever force that Amari's immense hype generated. Please, give this turd a courtesy flush :oops:
To be fair to Gruden, Cooper was trash last year and Gruden wasn't involved at all.
True but it was Chuckie's own words & false promises that he would move him around the formations & do whatever it takes to get the ball in Cooper's hands. So like most cases so far Gruden's been a huge disappointment. Of course his greatest success will probably become his ability to get Reggie fired as GM for the team's abysmal performance which of course will be blamed on the lack of talent on the roster ...That Chuckie's decision(s) like letting Khalil go had plenty to do with.

Gruden's going to blow it up and build it in his own image so he can get all the credit. When that fails it will be interesting to see how that gets spun.
Sounds like something turcorox would say. ;)

So, do we think Cooper can turn it around this season? Or is this an avoid situation? I need help at WR so I've been thinking about offering up a decent chunk for Cooper but I'm not sure if he's going to be helpful or hurtful. At the end of the season, will he be in the WR20-25 range or will it be closer to WR30-35?

I expect it's in the range you didn't list... somewhere between 25-30.

I would guess WR30 or worse.

Cooper is not a target if you need help now. Lots of better options for cheaper.

Well if on odd numbered weeks he averages 20 yards and on even numbered weeks he averages 100 then he'll still finish with close to 1000 yards.

8x20 = 160
8x100 = 800
800+160 = 960

As for receptions that would be

8x2 = 16
8x8 = 64

so 80-960-4 perhaps

Thats 200 points in normal PPR I believe

Which I believe could be high end WR3 in this high WR production year - so WR30 by Phaded seems correct. :)

So what I took from that video - thanks for sharing - is that it is a perfect storm of events? IE Carr missing Cooper either in his reads or actually missing on a throw, Cooper being strongly defended, bad play-calling and QB struggles. At least according to the interpretation of the the person critiquing the film ...

Yeah, one of the observations that I definitely agree with is that Carr is checking down even when the throw is there to Cooper. This has been happening since he broke his leg.

Carr is not helping the situation and is acting scared to get hit with all the checkdown.

But Cooper has not really done anything to inspire trust.

Cooper is not solely to blame but neither is Carr.

I would say Carr is to blame in games where he is open 6 or 7 times but gets 1 target. It's not just Cooper, either. It's guys on the outside in general. Carr has taken to checking down since his injury happened much more, he bails on the play to his check down even when there is no real pressure all too often. Cooper has his faults, but in general, Carr is not allowing plays to the WR to develop, and unless he corrects this he will never be that guy we saw in 2016 again.

Rumor now is the Cooper is on the trade block. Not sure of what team besides maybe the Cowboys would be obvious, but can you imagine if he somehow ended up on the Packers with their WR injuries and Cobb getting older?

Amari Cooper on the block?

Sounds like Gruden is having a fire sale. What do you guys the most ideal landing spot is and how much can his value increase? Does a seperation from the declining Carr help him realize his potential?

Sounds like Phaded has Jon Grudens ear as this would be a dream come true for him ;)

Cowboys rumored to be a landing spot. You Cooper owners better hope he doesnt go there. Thats like getting transferred to the Titanic.

Where'd you hear this? There are enough WR needs (Cleveland, Seattle and Washington immediately come to mind) that I could see a bidding war.
