Especially as a mainly slot WR, which, IMO insulates his value a bit. He has his QB and Offensive coach locked in, an this was year 1 with the QB . I mean, "rapport" usually takes some time, but man. Kupp should have a few good years left at the top with his level of trust, and justification for that. Adams situation is up in the air, too, so I'd be inclined to put Kupp above him as of now, as you have it.

Re: Cooper Kupp is a WR1
The correct answer was a mere 1.5 seasons later. I'll take the pat on the back. I look forward to seeing the 2021 offensive player of the year play in the Super Bowl tomorrow. And the player I called THE # 1 WR.

Re: Cooper Kupp is a WR1
I took this as a Dynasty ranking, I just can't put him there. Looking back, a lot of people took it as a Dynasty rank. I had Kupp as a top 5 yearly producer with Stafford. Never considered him to be the WR1 in Dynasty as a range of outcomes. If you were talking seasonal producer, good for you.remedy29 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 4:14 pmThe correct answer was a mere 1.5 seasons later. I'll take the pat on the back. Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
I sold him high after 2019 thinking his inconsistency at the end of the year was an issue and sign that he's only a slot guy who can't go against press/outside corners but got one share in a startup last year after the Stafford move
Never could have seen this coming
GOAT season from a WR IMO
If he can do 80% of this next year he has a clear path to Canton the Terrell Davis way even without considering anything beyond that

Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
100 percent. SB ring and SB MVP added on. By the time all is said and done, 700-800 catches isn't out of the equation. Maybe even more depending on how long he can go. He's a mainly slot guy with all the guile needed to put up Beasley type numbers in his early 30's. He's better than Cole, and in the right situation, 80-90 grabs a year in his early 30's just pads the numbers to make it more feasible. This season alone has him in the Canton discussion. People talk about Edelman as a candidate, based on playoffs, rings etc. Really astute comment, hadn't even really thought that far ahead, but you're right.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 11:52 am I sold him high after 2019 thinking his inconsistency at the end of the year was an issue and sign that he's only a slot guy who can't go against press/outside corners but got one share in a startup last year after the Stafford move

Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
Kupp is a straight up beast. He just won the Triple Crown and SB MVP. He was great throughout the playoffs.
He is way bigger than many think at 6'2 and 200 plus and is crazy great in routes.
He is the #1 WR in the world.

I've loved him ever since he went off vs Oregon.

Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
Reminds me of Edelman. No, maybe Welker. Kinda like Thielen. A much better Eric Decker

Re: Cooper Kupp is a WR1
Not sure what the relevance of consensus dynasty ranks are other than consensus verse actual. With the most important being your own rankings vs consensus and actual. The discussion in 2019 was if Cooper Kupp was a dynasty WR1, where many said no way he is not, he is a slot and can't even beat man coverage BS. My statement was not only should Kupp be considered a WR1, he should be considered THE # 1 WR. There are several ways to measure who was the actual # 1 WR over any period of time, with total points over 3 seasons being one of them;FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 5:18 amI took this as a Dynasty ranking, I just can't put him there. PPR 2019 to 2021: Kupp 920.7, Adams 919.4, Diggs 832.2.
via Mizzelle Aug 2019 ranks; Kupp was ranked 21. Between 2019 and 2021 he outscored every WR. So anyone who acquired Kupp for less than the # 1 ranked WR, received valued.

Re: Cooper Kupp is a WR1
I'm not trying to sh@t on your parade. Good on you. I had Kupp as a top 5 WR this year, thinking his season in 2019 was more what he was about. This season was absurd. Best season for a WR, statistically ever. He didn't break the reception or yardage record, but was so close. 16 TD's put it over the top. More than MT and Megatron combined in their big years. Still not sure how Megatron managed to put up a hair short of 2000 yards, and only score 5 TD's. Absurd, I believe he was tackled inside the 5 a bunch of times. Anyway, I was really sold on Kupp being really good with Stafford. This is just unreal, though. He can't duplicate it, but I think he can still be a force for the next few years. He and JT carried me in one league this year. Just love Kupp's game. Loved the guy ever since he went off vs Oregon. I didn't mean to sh@t on your brag post. When we make a call this good, it deserves to be bumped, and applauded. Well done sir, I meant no offense.remedy29 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 1:33 pmNot sure what the relevance of consensus dynasty ranks are other than consensus verse actual. Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
What's the thoughts on Kupp's future? Are looking at the buy window being open or the sell window that's closed shut? Rams seem to be a mess that doesn't have many picks to help steer the course for next year. Baker is the QB. I'm having a hard time seeing which way the needle is with Kupp's outlook.
Re: Cooper Kupp - Value Up?
IMO ballers ball and I expect Kupp to continue his dominance, might just not be as lofty as before. If I were a contender I would be kicking the tires late in the offseason when the season projections for the Rams comes out predicting a dumpster fireYouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Fri Dec 09, 2022 9:24 am What's the thoughts on Kupp's future?
