I think you will be in the drivers seat when those first 4 picks are gone.
Until then I would not get too wrapped up in predicting who or will not be available. Good to be prepared but some things you can't really anticipate. If any of those top3 QB's get some bad press or land in a bad spot I could see them dropping a spot or 2.
Another option would be to package Bradford and 1.05 and see if any of the teams ahead are interested or if Mallett gets traded take advantage of that hype and package him.
Maybe even try Mallett now with 1.05 for 1.04

I would definitely trade back if it goes the big three qbs and Watkins. I think if you wait until closer to the draft you should be able to get a lot more than a late 1st and a mid second. If someone is reallu QB needy and Carr goes some where like Minnesota, you should be able to get the 2015 1st plus, IMO.

Wow you read my mind. I was thinking 2015 1st. Thanks to both of you. Sorry if I stole the thread for myself. Back to the mock

2.07 Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor

Ramsey you're up. Sorry about the wait, I've had issues with this site all day. Someone pick for 2.09 as well if Ramsey doesn't make 2 picks.

ebreeze12 wrote:Also, I would really appreciate some of your opinions. My league is 2QB (so practically superflex) with 6 point passing TDs. I'm pretty set at QB right now with Brees, Romo, Bradford, Henne, Osweiler and Mallet but I also have the 1.5 in this year's draft. If Watkins is there I'm taking him. But if the top 4 picks are the big 3 QBs and Watkins, should I take Carr or move back to 1.10, 2.3 and maybe more? Given its 6 point TDs I'm thinking i should take Carr or demand 1.10, 2.3 and 2015 1st for the 1.5. Thoughts?
Wow, I'm actually in a similar boat as you. I need a second QB for my Superflex (I have little faith in EJ Manuel) and would like another stud WR as well. I've got picks 1.01, 1.02, and 1.05. I figured that I need to get at least 2 QB's. The 1.05 is a tough place to pick as the guy with 1.03 is taking QB, and the guy with the 1.04 is probably going RB or WR.

Right now the top 3 QB's are a bit of a wash so I was thinking of going 1.01, best QB, 1.02, Sammy, and then 1.03 will be next QB, 1.04 hopefully NOT QB, and then I get the last of the big 3 QB's at 1.05.

My other idea was just to lock up the top 2 QB's with 1.01 and 1.02. If I do that then Sammy likely goes at 1.04 and I am left with the remaining WR's (I'm thinking Evans) Carr, or the best RB.

I've already tried moving my 1.05 up to 1.04 or 1.03 but have had no luck. If I go best 2 QB's at 1 and 2 and Sammy goes at 1.04 then would trading my 1.05 for the 2.01 and 2.05 be a good idea? Based on the depth of this draft, there are guys going at 11th and 15th that are potentially just as good as the guy's available at 1.05.

It's pretty tough to trade in my league, not many people are interested in trading, or they want a dramatic over pay, so a lot of the advice that I get about trading incrementally is somewhat useless. I do think the guy with 2.01 and 2.05 would trade up to get his 1.05 back however.

The third strategy would be to take the 2 best QB's and then take Carr. Going with 3 QB's might be overkill but a lot of these guys bust and the superflex spot is where I lost the most points last year as my league rewards 2 points every 20 yards passing and 5 point passing TD's so the QB's put up a lot of points. Having too many starting QB's isn't bad either since they cover bye's, fill in for injuries, and are the best trade assets to have.

Right now, I'm thinking that the best option would probably be to take whichever QB the Texans draftand Sammy, and then at 1.05 take whichever of Johnny and Bortles makes it (hoping one does).

I'd defenitely like to hear you guys' opinions, especially on the trade of 1.05 for 2.01 and 2.05.

Wow. That is pretty crazy. I think we should definitely bounce stuff off eachother after the NFL draft but right now we should both just stay put. I'm hoping Carr goes to Vikings @8 or Browns get Watkins @4 and Carr @26. Those are the best scenarios for Carr.

For you, If Carr lands in one of the situations I stated above, I would go Texans QB at 1, Watkins at 2 and then you get then you get another QB at 5. If 3 and 4 go QB there will still be one left because in this scenario I think it's a big 4 not just a big 3

Haha sorry, I guess I don't know the answer, if I did, I wouldn't be hijacking here. Although, your situation is a bit simpler since mine involves 1.01 and 1.02, also your trade is better, both picks are higher and you get something in addition. I wouldn't take Carr, I think he is a reach, just like Ponder and Weeden were. I would take the trade but only if there isn't another player that stands out to you. For me, Evans stands out but if I was in a toss up at #2WR between the pool of Evans, Lee, Robinson, Matthews, and Benjamin then take the trade since you will get one if them anyway at 1.10 plus another, or a top RB or Ebron/Amaro at 2.03.

Gotcha. Thanks. I'm gunna try to move up to 1.1 or 1.2. I know both those guys don't want QBs so moving down might be appealing to them.
