End of Days starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose famous quote "I'll Be Back" (from Terminator) can easily apply to Jon Gruden. :)

Welcome to the end of days.
Love it. Raiders have improved through the season. Need more talent now

Derek Carr's last 8 games: 173/255 1,793 yards 11 TD 0 INT 102.3 QB Rating. Taking a little time to get the system, pressing early to try and try and mpress the coach maybe? He is looking more and more confident, and he doesn't have any real talent other than Cook around him right now.

If only Carr had a true #1 WR  I'm sure they'll get one with the Cowboys pick

It's odd, why is Cooper now so productive? It's like everyone is better off after that trade. It's like Amari and the Raiders were holding each other back somehow.

Mike Mayock is currently the front-runner for the Raiders GM position.

If this takes away Gruden's control over the draft and Mayock takes control of it, I am all for it.

Gruden was always going to hire guys, he isn't sitting in a room scouting everyone himself. He's going to have control over the final say, but Mayock may be the guy JG can trust when they disagree. With Gruden's deal, he's going to have as much control as he wants. He isn't stupid, he knows he can't do everything himself. I'd love to see Mayock/Gruden combo, personally. I think Mayock would be able to help Gruden get thhe style/type of players he is looking for.

Well it is still somewhat early (or at least only midway through) & there is still plenty of football to play out but at the moment the Raiders are ahead of the Bears in the standings, and yes we own their 2020 1st. They own our 2020 2nd, but that Bears 1st is no longer looking to be a late 2020 1st and our 2nd is no longer looking to be an early one.

It is sort of like you traded your 2020 1st (projected late) to get a win now vet asset and a 2020 2nd (projected early) but circumstances have now made that 2020 2nd late, and your 2020 1st could be early ...

All in all Jon Gruden is starting to make all those that doubted him look foolish. And for better or for worse I would rather have Carr, Gruden & Mayock than Mayfield, Kitchens & Dorsey right about now if I was an NFL owner. ;)

Carr>Baker
Mayock>Dorsey
Gruden>Kitchens

Easy hold.

Looking like genius level moves right now. Team looks pretty darn good with a bunch of cap space in 2020 as well as two 1st rounders and three 3rd rounders. That Chicago 1st could be a top ten pick as well, that team looks ready to collapse.

All those Gruden haters.... time to own up

They have performed better than I thought they would and have looked good, but not great.
The real revelation is Josh Jacobs to be completely honest, he has put the team on his back and his looked great doing so.

The teams they have beaten are not impressive, but the Raiders could just as easily be 1-7 as opposed to 4-4.

There is reason for optimism - but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Their next three games are all extremely winnable, the Chargers, Bengals & Jets. They could feasibly end up 7-4. In fact, they should end up 7-4.

Time will tell about Mayock & Gruden, you can tear it down and start a rebuild - but when it comes time to pay players, that is the real challenge. Instead of paying two of the three biggest guys they would have, they shipped them out. It will be really telling how they manage the contracts, that has always been a huge downfall of a guy like Dorsey. Unfortunately, it will be years before we can really see how their contract management is.

And I'm not sure comparing ourselves to the Browns is something to be proud of.. it's the Browns..
lol
