Not really surprising, that's how football players are and how they are conditioned to think from an early age. Plus Tua knows his job isn't completely secure due to all the attempts to replace him in previous offseasons and now questions about his availability, but "knows" he can save it if he comes back and plays well leading them on a deep playoff run.

Last week, Tua admitted he considered retiring after his concussions. Not surprisingly, his KTC value took another hit, dipping below Daniel Jones to put him at QB16. He's recently been ranked below a mid 23 1st and a early 25 1st there.

Miami GM says Hurts extension doesn't affect their contract talks.

Sold for a '24 second in a 12 team 1 qb league. I think he'll score a ton of fantasy points in that offense, but I'm out on the risk.

Seems like a nice kid, wish him all the best, but I don't want to cheer for the guy to play when he could really bleep up his brain permanently. I hope he retires.

I was looking for this thread, to say this a few days ago. I think he's a real long term risk. So many injuries, like I said. One more concussion could do it, and he's more prone to them now. I really hope the best for him, good kid, and a lefty! Love the lefty QB's, but yeah, I just can't bring myself to roster him, because I view him as extremely high risk at this point.

I definitely see the risk. I've long considered him a redraft like play for contenders- shouldn't anticipate a long career, but can expect a high PPG in the games he plays. To abloom's point, Tua's like Stafford, to me.

My concern is his career horizon seems shorter than I initially thought. He may not have a long career and guys like Geno Smith may outlast him.

Don't forget his career was already expected to be shorter, due to this hip.

He’s a buy for me. Dipping prices on a young QB who has put up big points. Stock will go up when games start again. Sure there is risk, but there was on Hopkins, Cooks, and others, and they keep ticking. Obviously this is price dependent, but if it’s reasonable, I’m in.

Buying him everywhere (or trying to.) Trade in every Daniel Jones you have for Tua while you still can.

Have to remember, the type of posturing that Tua showed, was an indication of severe brain trauma. I don't think it's far fetched to think if he suffers another concussion this year, that he could be advised to retire by a neurologist, like Jhavid Best. I hope that doesn't happen, but it's definitely not far fetched.

I love Tua, but i'm completely out from a dynasty perspective. Talent is absolutely there, but I can't be apart of this emotional roller coaster. Dude looks like he could take a big blow any game and his career be over.

No surprise that number 1 is Mahomes.

The big surprise (surprise to most people) comes with who is number 2. I wonder if the fantasy world is paying attention?
