IDK how anyone could see him as a top 5 back. When healthy, Penny is clearly the early down back, and Swift's main asset is his pass catching. He's with a running QB, I just don't see why people would consider him anywhere close to the range of a top 5 dynasty back. People on here preach not massively changing rookie ranks due to landing spot.....

Certainly better for Swift than his previous situation was, as of a day ago, but don't get carried away.

I agree. Lots of overreactions on both sides the last few days

Swift is healthier than penny historically.

Real fun to look at the swift trades made yesterday in DLF's trade finder.

Swift is still soft. Bring on the Eagles doesn’t change that.

I roster Swift, so happy about it, but I am still not expecting anything more than what he did in Detroit the last few years. He's not a lead back, and I think his pass catching upside is now minimized in Philly, with Hurts. Have no idea where he'll be next year, either. Anyways, good for his value vs 2 days ago, but shouldn't boost his value much beyond where it was in the off season. It's not like the Eagles gave up much, either.

Eagles add a good player who should have a specific role, as a committee back, Penny and Swift is a solid 1/2 for them, and Gainwell as well. Scott the odd man out??

Rookies and landing spot is not quite the same as vets and being traded to a new team. Rookies have to prove they can translate to the NFL. Swift has already proven he can be productive, he just wasn't a fit for Dan Campbell's run through brick walls mentality.

Gotta be optimistic for Swift. But I agree, not a top 5 back until he proves it for me. Not real concerned about Gainwell or Scott. Penny is an obstacle until he's injured week 1 or 2.

Swift has never proven he can handle a large workload, with 2 different regime's, so even if Penny gets hurt, I don't expect Swift to be a 20 plus touch a game back. I am personally going to look to move him if people are valuing him highly again.

I mean CMC was on death’s doorstep then went to a much better team and magically stayed healthy. Maybe Swift will be motivated to play through the dumb little stuff and play well. His financial future depends on it.

I’m not delusional and I don’t think Swift should be valued as a top 5 back. However, it’s hard to argue this doesn’t absolutely revive his dynasty value and give him a real chance at being a highly productive back. It depends on staying healthy but that is the same for literally every RB. If he can get 15 touches per game I think he can produce RB1 numbers in that offense and if Penny goes down then we may get to see if he can handle a real workload. Also, his might be a hot take but I’m finding it hard to keep Walker in the top 5 discussion after that Charbonnet pick. Brutal.

That is what I was thinking. It's a lot easier to push and overcome when everyone around is as well while you're all on a championship calibre team instead of a perennial bottom feeder

There's that chance, for sure.
Sorry should have been more specific. Is he now going to be valued as a top 5 RB.

Bijan, hall, CMC, Gibbs, JT, walker.

I don't have all of those guys ahead but I'm sure plenty do.
I wouldn't have him at top 5 yet. But I bet some will.
It all depends on if he can stay healthy, I wouldn't have him in the top 5 until proven differently but I do like this situation much better he didn't seem to click in DET

I still have Walker top 5, and I agree it revives Swift's value. I think RB2 numbers are more realistic, with the lack of check downs he'll get compared to Detroit, and the lack of goal line upside, with Penny, and Hurts, I don't see him being a GL option very often. I agree 15 touches would be his sweet spot. I'd take RB 13-18 all day if he can stay on the field for a full year.

I’ve got Penny and Swift in my main league! One of them will stay healthy, right? RIGHT?!?
