It's perplexing how a guy like Pickett can go in the 1st round yet DTR can fall to the 5th.

The difference in arm talent between these two is night and day.

Ugh why is Perine getting all these 4th quarter snaps/targets? Where is Javonte? Now I need like 33 from AJB...unfortunately he's not playing the Commanders.

Also Sutton is super overlooked this season. TD in 8 of 10. Now a low WR2.

The TV announcers loved talking him up and crediting him for their recent wins. I'd say all he's done is not turn the ball over. The real credit goes to the defense IMO. Wilson finally eclipsed the 200 passing yard barrier this week though.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Charbonnet has a huge opportunity ahead with Walker getting hurt again

Izzy Abanikanda finally played this year.

Mims finally over 50%. Hopefully the targets start coming his way, but that offense is gross

I didn't see any of the CLE-PIT game... I've already seen enough from Pickett to agree with FantasyFreak's opinion, but did DTR look good? Obviously not the best box score, but that rarely tells the whole story.

There was a concerted effort to get the ball out early to avoid TJ Watt and Pitt's front 7 which resulted in a lot of short quick throws near the line of scrimmage. At one point they showed an infographic saying he averaged 2.15 seconds a drop back. They jumped out to an early lead and then basically sat on the ball the entire 2nd half with PIT cheating up to the line of scrimmage. There were anywhere from 6-8 drops by CLE receivers that game including a gimme TD by Njoku. The INT was off a deflection but he also had one other INT dropped by the defender (although it would've been a tough catch).

Throughout the game the velocity on DTR's throws was very apparent. I didn't realize this coming into the game but he tied Josh Allen's 62 MPH record at the combine :wtf: He was throwing 40 yard (not vertically, but across the field) lasers with ease and after PIT tied the game up and they loosened up the playbook for him he went 4 for 4 for 39 yards to set up the game winning field goal.

Hard to tell exactly what he'd look like in a different game script but there were some encouraging signs.
