Jordan Reed

Jordan Reed - time to sell high?

It's only a matter of time before he is injured - I don't trust this guy to say healthy for 16 games. He's coming off the back of two good games and is clearly heavily involved in this offense. Is he a top 5 TE right now? Gronk, Kelce, Eifert then it gets a bit messy. Greg Olsen, Jordan Cameron and Martellus Bennett are all there or thereabouts. Is Graham still in the mix?

Anyway, what are you doing with Jordan Reed and how do you see his future?

I've been trying to buy in a couple of leagues where I'm thin at TE, but I'm not paying a lot because of his injury history. In theory he's a sell high, but due to his storied injury history it may take a longer string of health from him before owners start to get past the injury stigma and start paying for him.

Agree. I would buy if the price is right but unfortunately all owners want to sell him way too high for an injury risk.

So if you play with a bunch of members from this forum it will be tough to get what you think he is worth. He has already shown up on the injury report before last week games.

Your best bet is to ride him out and sell at the end of the season and hope he doesn't get injured.

In my rebuild ppr league I have Jimmy Eifert and Reed.

Trying to move one but nobody will give anything close to fair. At least I can start two TE if I have to.

Reed's always difficult to trade, even now, for anything approaching his production. Just the way it is.

I can see a lot of owners just riding him out and dumping him as necessary.

It takes just the right set of circumstances to sell a player that is flagged as an injury risk. Once he has produced for a few games, then possibly a contending team might give decent value if Reed could be seen as the missing piece. However, I would think that Reed would need to play out a healthy 2015 before most owners would begin to raise their value of him ... even a little.

I'm just riding him out because I have no one interested....

With Cousins at QB, he will continue to see a lot of targets and has a pretty high floor each week

He looked great last night. Should have had two TDs if Cousins wasn't a really bad quarterback.

That and he is their clear red zone option. With the Crapshoot at TE you just want guaranteed targets and a guy to be a redzone option. Reed is that guy. This is now the third week in a row where I have benched him. Also benched Eiffert 2 weeks in a row too!

Damn you Jimmy!

Best I've gotten so far is Amaro and a future 2nd for Reed and something small (end of bench stash) if you are looking for a bench mark. No one else interested.

I got DGB straight up for Reed after week one. Figured that was a good enough sell high for me. Maybe target a guy like him or Perriman.
