Small School Prospects

Postby The Pyrate » Mon Feb 15, 2010 7:14 pm

Rotoworld just posted a nice article about Small School Prospects:
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/featur ... 34753&pg=1

Anybody know anything more about RB James Stark from Buffalo or QB John Skelton from Fordham?

Anybody have any other small school names they want to predict now before the combine starts?

I'm amazed Joique Bell isn't on that list. I'd take him over any of the offensive guys listed, with Starks slightly behind him, and his profile fits the article's premise perfectly :"The No. 1 requirement when scouring lower levels for NFL talent is domination. These players must stand out on virtually every snap of every game. It must be clear that a small-school prospect is better than the rest of the players on the field."

That's Bell in a nutshell. 8055 all-purpose yards, 6728 career rushing yards, 2 2000 yard seasons, 152 rushing yards a game over four years, 576 points scored...

Bell looks great against the competition he was facing. I think his running skills should translate well. From what I saw it didnt look like his O-line was very good and he manufactured most of his production himself by being generally untacklable.

I am also surprised that Bell isn't on there.

My personal favorite on the list is Andre Roberts. I think he will make an awesome slot receiver!
