Perriman v. Hyde

Postby CAMVP » Thu Jun 04, 2015 3:39 pm

For team in sig.

Was offered Carlos Hyde for Perriman. RB is a major need of mine, + I have Davis already. Make the deal?

I'm fairly high on Perriman, but I think this trade would be more beneficial to you. I don't see Hyde being the back in SF for this year, and I honestly haven't seen much on him myself to like him, but you're set at WR and it wouldn't hurt you to do the trade.

I really don't like Hyde. And while this trade most likely helps you this year, I would try to get someone else who would be cheaper like Forsett. That way you get the RB benefit this year and could probably be had for something like Harvin/Bryant

Not really expecting much this year. Was on a 2 year plan to reconstruct my whole roster. Got tired of always finishing 4-6 annually. Had hoped to come away with a handful of RBs but league mates must have all had the same idea and I just couldn't pass on the WRs that were falling to me. So alas, I have the team that I do w/ 2 firsts next year. With this all in mind, I don't think trading for Hyde is in my best interest, but rather to hold and hope Perriman takes off. Team with Hyde has also offered me his 1st next year instead of Hyde as well.

Hyde and Davis is a nice combo. Perriman looks great and all, but WRs are just easier to find.

Hmm, this one is tough. My gut says Perriman, but Carlos Hyde is the choice on paper/rankings. You also happen to be pretty well loaded up at WR but could likely use help at running back.

As it is right now, you would have to choose 3-4 of Watkins/Benjamin/Cooper/Djax/Agholor/Perriman/Martavis to start each week, and starting next year Dorsett/Latimer will likely factor in as well. Meanwhile, you're starting one of Ryan Mathews, Montee Ball, or David Johnson at RB each week with Ingram as your #1.

If I had your roster..... I would probably take this deal, but it would be one of those trades I didn't feel great about even though it likely helps my starting lineup.

I traded Mark Ingram for Breshad Perriman in one of my leagues just yesterday and feel very good about it even though I like Ingram. League seems to be split on saying Ingram>Perriman and Perriman>Ingram. I'd imagine most value Hyde>Ingram because of age/not being burned by Ingram in his early years, so some may consider this cheap for Carlos.

I'd take this trade fairly easily. Not sure why everyone is so down on Hyde but I think he'll be very good this year. I'm also not typically a fan of a WR that has issues catching the ball. I think Perriman is being overdrafted mainly because he has little competition.

Couldn't blame anybody for passing (personal preference and all), but I would take this deal all day.
