Romo to hold for kicks.

For those who wanted to see more leadership from Tony Romo in 2009, here's a small example on the biggest stage of the season.

With kicker Nick Folk in a field goal slump, Romo went to special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis and volunteered to hold on place kicks this Sunday against the Chargers. Everyone remembers the Seattle Slip in the 2006 wild-card playoffs, but Romo actually did an excellent job overall.

Does he have a few things on his mind already as the starting quarterback? Absolutely. But three points could decide the game Sunday, and Romo thinks he can help get the job done.

"Obviously I would prefer not to do it for obvious reasons," Romo said, "but at the same point my pops told me one time leadership is doing what needs to be done. And I think in some ways -- not that it’s a big, big thing -- but it’s important for us to be good in that area."
They seriously couldn't find someone else to hold?
