A.J. Green vs. Antonio Brown(PPR)

Postby Hottoddies » Wed Feb 25, 2015 3:16 pm

I know A.J.'s value may be a little down due to injuries and that Brown has been the most consistent WR1 the past two years but looking at a 3 year window who would you rather have moving forward?

I see more of the same coming for each over the next few years.

With that said, I'm rolling with Antonio.

Just feel strongly about Brown w/ that year he is coming off of. Add that to the fact that they have Le'Veon Bell, and there is nothing really that the defense can zero in on. If you want to add extra guys in coverage, Bell will eat you up. If you put a safety closer to the box, they air it out. I just like their offense better as a whole... I think the QB on Pitt does a much better job of making plays than the guy from Cincinnati. They just have more weapons, which keeps Brown consistently catching balls. Where as, AJ Green is the major player that teams game plan against... when game-planning for the Steelers you have to keep Le'Veon Bell and that run game in mind as much and at times more so than worrying about Mr. Brown.

I think it is a wash. AJ will have a big bounce back this year if he stays healthy, and I see Brown doing more of the same with a little fall off.

Grudgingly, I'd go with Green. Brown should be more consistent and MUCH more reliable. And we've seen his ceiling. But, I don't think that we've seen Green's ceiling, and his floor is still pretty high.

How can you not say Brown after watching what he has done the last two years? The only reason this is a question is because he isn't 6'4".

A.J's injuries have gotten him to be undervalued and under appreciated at the time being. The other is that Antonio Brown's past two years, especially his past year with 129 receptions has vaulted his value. The only problem with brown is that Bryant may attract more end zone targets from Big Ben based on his sheer size. I personally would take brown because of his QB. Big Ben is far better than the inconsistent than Andy Dalton.
