not in this mock but storm johnson is interesting pick to me ... I have watched some tape and do not see anything special but one so called expert on another site picked him in the middle of the 1st in another rookie mock. That really means nothing other than someone sees high end value so he could be a big time steal at this point in the draft.swinderman wrote:Herron's a great pick.Keith.Hughes2010 wrote:Robert Herron

Honestly, my opinion on him has flip-flopped almost every single time I watch. I think it often comes down to when I watched him after I watched a number of other RBs. He's got the lateral agility you'd love a big back to have which allows him to gain yardage that isn't there for other big backs.clarion contrarion wrote:not in this mock but storm johnson is interesting pick to me ... I love this guy. I think he has the potential to be a star given a year or two behind a strong qb willing to mentor him.Defender wrote:3.10, I select Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois
He is confident. He can make the throws. He may need some extra coaching since his competition was lackluster, but I will take a talent like this in the bottom of the third any day.
I think the thing you will see most consistent is the TE will be drafted (probably around that range) and a large number of WR will be drafted. RBs will completely depend on free agency/landing spot. There's the potential to see them affect the positioning in the draft for everyone else. QBs I think these numbers are about right, but again depends on league settings and team need. I always approach rookie drafts with BPA mindset, but a number of teams will jump all over the QB position a bit earlier.dxw100 wrote:Hrmm, in a draft supposedly deep with WR I somehow ended up with 3 RB... Easier to do BPA when you have no team to fill.
I tried to look at how positions were falling throughout the draft but swinderman was right, as of now I am ok with guys coming off all the way the the end of the 3rd.
QB: 5 drafted - 0 1st round, 2 2nd round, 3 3rd round
RB: 13 drafted - 5 1st, 2 2nd, 6 3rd
WR: 15 drafted - 6 1st, 6 2nd, 3 3rd
TE: 3 drafted - 1 1st, 2 2nd, 0 3rd
It's hard to know what to take from all this with only 1 run so far before the draft but it seems like there are a bunch of QB prospects driving down their positional value, there are plenty of RB sleepers with half the 3rd round people picked their favorite, there is a lot of talented WRs with half the 1st and 2nd round, and TE is very top heavy with a late 1st and two early 2nds.
Interested to have this as a reference as we get past the combine and then the draft itself.
While I would've likely windmill slammed both of them at that point, I don't have a large problem with anyone that was taken ahead of them. There's probably arguments to be made against Abbrederis and/or Moncrief, but there are also good arguments to be made in their favor. This class is wicked deep.DLFiend wrote:Charles Sims and Jarvis Landry both fell to around the 3rd round? Uh..... no.
