Dynasty startup advice

12 team PPR IDP league (1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1Flex/2DL/2LB/2DB/1DFlex/K 19 bench slots)

I pick from the second spot

This is my first year doing dynasty football. Ive been doing baseball for years now in the same 2 leagues as dynasty so team management and trading are not as big of a concern of mine, but it's been 5 years since ive done a fantasy startup of any kind so I am looking for some feedback on overall strategy. Keep in mind I come from mostly a baseball background where players last a lot longer in most cases (outside of pitchers usually) current thoughts.

1) RB/RB/RB first 3 rounds gives me the best shot to win now. Maybe QB/RB/RB. While WR might be hard to get on waivers, Stud RB is super hard to find. Value picks on WR some of whom may be older so less desirable.

2) QB first or second They are like 1B. Last pretty much forever. Rodgers/Cam/Stafford can anchor team for close to a decade (Much like a Votto/Cabrera pick)

3) wait on RB. WR/QB (to a degree TE) are more stable producers for longer periods of time because of injury risk at RB. Might make it hard to win now unless I can accurately pick RB that end up like last years FJax.

4) draft IDP later. Means I miss on studs (JPP/Allen) at prime positions but IDPs seem hard to predict. Have 1or 2LB anchor my defensive unit then continue with backup offensive guys.

5) draft Best player available for the first 3-5 rounds semi regardless of age/position. Seems like it'll give a "better" team for now but if you take guys at the end of their production could spell disaster. This is how I generally draft for baseball (don't buy into position scarcity dictating taking a worse player higher). This method seems to always keep me in the mix in my baseball leagues (I mean redraft of course).

Dynasty Football just seems so different in methodology for drafting that maybe I'm over thing this. My 2 basebsll leagues ive won or been in contention nearly every year, but football drafts seem so different (specifically different than roto baseball). Any help people can give me or overall strategies would be appreciated. Thanks for your time

I would use my first three picks to pick up 2 RB and a WR.
