Trade Advice - Adrian Peterson

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Advice - Adrian Peterson

Postby richmond_hokie » Sun Jul 01, 2012 7:14 pm

I'm worried that AP will never be the same. I currently have two offers out to different teams:
1. I give AP, V Jackson and 1st in 2013 for 1.01 and 1.07 (he's considering it)

2. I give AP for 6, 20, and Demeco Ryans (I'm fairly weak at LB)

I think I'm deep enough at WR that I can afford to lose V Jax. Thoughts?

Hold tight on AP. He won't be great this year, but he'll bounceback just fine, especially since every one of those offers you're making are severe overpays IMO.
Team 1, 10-team 0.5-PPR
QB (1): Richardson, Watson, Purdy
RB (2-3): Walker, Swift, Dobbins, R. White, Mitchell, Gainwell
WR (3-4): Hill, Godwin, Aiyuk, Flowers, N. Collins, Doubs, M. Wilson, Shakir
TE (1-2): McBride, Goedert, Okonkwo

I agree. Those are not good offers for you.

Both offers are no good. AP will finish top 15 this year, and next year will be talked about as top 5 maybe even top 3 running back again. Sell high buy low my friend. Didn't CJ2K lose it last year? No good? Never be the same? Not top 10? Now he is universally considered top 5. I know I am comparing two different situations but you should get my point.

I do not like either offer for you and would pull them both off the table before the other owners jump on them. I actually cannot believe that one of the has not already quickly accepted. AP will be ok - it is a terrible time to sell because there is no way to get fair value for him right now.
Start: 2 QB, 3 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE (All TDs=6, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 25 pass, NO PPR) 8 teams
QB: Rodgers, Vick, Cutler, Schaub, Luck
RB: Rice, CJ, McFadden, Richardson, Stewart, Ingram, Spiller, Vereen
WR: Green, Marshall, Roddy, Jennings, Roddy, Bowe, Maclin, Britt, A Brown, Williams (TB), Collie, Smith (STL)
TE: Graham, Finley, F Davis, Cook
Taxi Squad: Tebow, Crabtree, Jeffrey, Hill, Gordon

Not to highjack the thread, (I have another post on here, but the offer has changed a bunch so it might be confusing)

Can anyone give some fair example of trade for AP, or are you guys saying most should wait on trading him.

An offer was proposed to me of:

DeMarco/Felix, Wallace, 2013 first

for

AP/Gerhart, A. Brown, D. Brown, 2013 2nd....

Is this fair value for trading away AP? I am very skeptical about this deal, might try to counter with both Browns and a 3rd for Wallace.
