Rome vs next year's likely 1.01 and 2 2nds and 2 3rds?

Team not in sig, guy reached out to me about Rome and offered his 25 1st which will probably be the 1.01, of course anything can happen so it might slide back to 1.03 as he just added MHJ. I said I valued Rome more than next year's 1.01, he said he could add. He unfortunately doesn't have a 2026 1st so I said I'd be looking at his very early 2025 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and a 2026 2nd and 3rd. (some debate to get him to add the 26 picks, but I don't want to do it for just a 1/2/3)

My team is very WR heavy (Jefferson, Chase, AJB, Nabers, Rome, Ricky Pearsal). Is the value there for Rome? Even though I just got a shiny toy I haven't gotten to play with yet?

Give me the additional picks.. your already WR heavy, and can add to additional positions next year, where I see the rookie fever shine wearing down and Rome not producing during year 1 lowering his value over the next year. But only because Chicago has tons of targets to feed

I’d smash accept that. Honestly, I’d prefer 1.01 next year to Rome. That’s no hate for Rome, because I do like him a lot, but I’d easily take the picks.

In SF, I think it’s the package easily

In 1QB, it’s close. I still might choose the liquidity of the picks but if you love Odunze and think he’ll be valued like Waddle post year 1, then I get holding. Worst case scenario tho, even if the 25 First becomes 1.03-1.04, you’re probably looking at an elite prospect, no?
