If the draft were today, Burden would go 1.01 in a large majority of them.
But, he's not locked in. I think Judkins, Gordon, Singleton and McMillan are in the mix.

there is no can't miss prospect like MHJ or Bijan for now
Agreed here. Tet wasn't a darling from the jump and is still playing catch up in the community's eyes despite dominating 2 years in a row. Burden was the #1 or #2 WR coming out of HS, so people already knew his name. He has manufactured touches, plays a lot close to the LOS etc. I am not saying he's a bad player at all, but I think Tet has shown more so far.dmoyer121099 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 2:11 pm Burden is certainly a very good prospect (not elite) but shouldn’t be the consensus 1.01 imo. The reason as to why Tet is gaining traction (and as of this moment my 1.01) should stem from his ability to win outside as opposed to Burden seemingly lining up exclusively from the slot. By no means am I saying Burden can’t win outside but hopefully he shows a little more versatility in alignment next year to actually cement himself. The reason the gap is close is due to what Burden can do after the catch which was up there with the best in all college.
This makes a lot more sense now lol context is everything in this game, especially once you get into Devy
As an Oregon and Stewart fan (wanted to remove homerism as much as possible) I absolutely agree and can’t wait to see what he does for us this year.Lumps wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 3:06 pmdmoyer121099 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 2:11 pm Burden is certainly a very good prospect (not elite) but shouldn’t be the consensus 1.01 imo. To counter ALL of that on JUST the WR front.... the other WR that was either #1 or #2 out of HS was Evan Stewart. He was also seen as the #1 WR after their freshman years as Burden disappointed. Now, since Stewart had a clown car of QBs at TA&M (and the program failed that massive recruiting class they had) combined with being nicked up last year, people act like Burden is miles ahead. What Stewart showed as a freshman was parallels of Garrett Wilson. Stewart is an elite athlete with verified #s in track for sprints and jumps. Now, he transferred out of the disaster of A&M to go to Oregon with Dillon Gabriel. Think #s that Troy Franklin put up and then a better route runner and athlete.
Freshman highlights (around the 2:30 ish mark they are going against Alabama and he has Terrion Arnold (1st rounder to Lions) on him:

yeah i agree! it's one of my problem! start a story! but it only has a beginning and an end loll. missing some parts of it
They're different players, but Malik Nabers lined up mostly from the slot too and he's a stud. I think Burden is along the same lines. The gap is definitely close with McMillan and Burden, and I wouldn't fault anyone for having McMillan as the 1.01.dmoyer121099 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 2:11 pm Burden is certainly a very good prospect (not elite) but shouldn’t be the consensus 1.01 imo. I have Bond over Stewart right now until we see Stewart actually put it all together. He had bad luck last year with the leg injury, but hopefully a change of scenery can up his game.
Yes, 25 is a RB draft. If you look at the dynasty 8-16 RBs there are a bunch that make you go ‘really? He’s that high?’. The greater NFL RB context is ready for a new influx of RB talent.
Definitely looking forward to the rb renaissance that’s about to occur. Although everyone of them has a flaw or two you can pick out, there are many offenses (who in years past have produced rb1’s) that I’m anticipating to fill the void next season. Anyone of Judkins, Hampton, Henderson, etc. that goes to a team like Dallas will skyrocket.Shcritters wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 4:36 pmYes, 25 is a RB draft. I set up one of my startups from 2 years ago with this mindset. Got QB/TE in startup (plus 6 1sts), added WR (and Caleb and Brock) this past year, and have 3 1sts/2 2nds for RB next year.
I agree as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if Stewart did not come out in 2025, due to a down 2023 season due to QB injury, and 2024 being a transfer year. Hurdles that Tet and Burden have not had to deal with.
You’re suggesting Stewart won’t come out based on an injury prediction to Dillon Gabriel?MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:02 pmI agree as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if Stewart did not come out in 2025, due to a down 2023 season due to QB injury, and 2024 being a transfer year. Burden is the presumptive, not guaranteed, top pick for 1QB next season. Not sure he's the level of prospect of either MHJR or Bijan.
