Rookie Draft - Which Direction To Take

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rookie Draft - Which Direction To Take

Postby Chwf3rd » Tue May 14, 2024 1:05 pm

Settings: 12 Team Superflex PPR with a 0.75 TE Prem, start 10 (QB/2RB/3WR/TE/2FLX/SFLX)
Team
QB: JHerbert, MStafford, AOC, JBrissett, Jimmy G
RB: ETN, JJacobs, AKamara, NChubb, ZMoss, RDowdle, etc
WR: AJB, BAiyuk, DAdams, ZFlowers, CGodwin, DJChark
TE: DGodert
Picks: 1.01, 1.10, 1.12

I have two potential paths I can go down with my picks:

Option 1
  • trade 1.10 + 1.12 + Stafford for TLaw (could maybe get Ridley as a plus too)
  • use the 1.01 to get MHJ or Nabers (hopefully via tradedown)

Option 2
  • Draft Caleb Williams at 1 and keep 10 and 12
Which approach do people like more?
Team 1 - 12 team PPR
QB: MRyan, MJones, CNewton, RFitz
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, JMixon, AJDillon, LMurray, DarWilliams, GBernard
WR: SDiggs, ACooper, BAiyuk, JJones, LShenault, BCooks, KToney, KHamler, VJefferson
TE: JSmith, ISmith, ZErtz

Team 2 - 16 team, PPR, SF
QB: JBurrow, CWentz, ZWilson, Jimmy G
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, BSnell, TGurley, DGuice
WR: JChase, BAiyuk, CSutton, THiggins, JJeudy, JReagor, BEdwards
TE: ISmith, HarBryant, DSample, TTremble

Lawrence! I'm actually planning to send a similar trade offer in a league on ESPN as soon as it's reactivated. Takes all the risk out. Candidly may go option 1/2 hybrid, get Lawrence and Ridley and still consider CW, flip a QB for far more than two late 1sts down the road...

I'd take a combo deal too. Take CW at 1.01 and still go out and get TLaw for the late picks.

I’m double dipping, taking CW & trading for TLaw

Unless I was significantly overpaid for 1.01, and only moving down no lower than 1.03, but it would have to be a major over pay

Same, Lawrence and Caleb. If not taking Caleb, trade down.

I am the low guy on TLaw here I guess. I am taking Caleb and holding the picks and Stafford. Stafford is a solid #2 until you are comfortable with Caleb.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

For sure here. I like TLaw but I do think that Stafford is a solid backup. Hold.
