I'm a true contender. Won it last year. I just bought Rice and a 26 3rd last Sunday for my 25 1st (should be 11 or 12) thinking it was buying low. He's my WR6/7. The plan was to let him hang out on my roster and recoup his value. That's going to take a little longer now. I'm just going to ignore the fact that he's on my roster. As soon as he starts playing, the tensions will ease. I do plan/hope to sell as soon as buyers come back around.

For reference, Alvin Kamara and his crew beat a guy up pretty good on video. His suspension wasn't much. Rice, of course, has started himself a pattern. He's probably in line for half a season in '25, potentially the exempt list in '24. The fantasy fear would be if KC took matters into their own hands. At this point, there is no need to do anything, but let it play out.

Well, I saw the video on that highway. He's 23, the "young dude" crap is just the worst, IMO. 99 percent of "young dudes" aren't like this piece of excrement. Just so you know, street racing, with BOTH cars being his, on a public highway during peak hours, and then running from all those people they injured, with drugs in the car, most likely intoxicated and or weapons (took something out of the car)? Yeah, malicious as it gets. Zero moral compass, total turd of a human. I will also tell you I have had personal tragedy due to nonsense on the roads, so that factors into it.....but regardless of the club stuff, he's a terrible human, in my books, for what he did already.

I strongly believe he should be convicted (and would if he worked at say, Wendy's) for the highway incident, and should go to jail, based on Texas law. I don't really wish anything against him while he's incarcerated, that was a joke.

I feel people that try and exonerate reprehensible behaviour because a person plays sports, is lowly, and I'm not saying you are, but I see a lot of Chiefs fans doing it, for instance.

I am a Raiders fan. I wanted Ruggs cut immediately after his situation. Rice's situation was the same IMO, the outcome was just different. It was a miracle nobody died. People shouldn't give him a pass because he lucked out, on that. That's my take, anyways.

It was clear you felt some type of way about this case, like you were personally affected by it, and now I know why. Most folks would say drunk driving and then hitting and killing a woman and her dog as they burn to death =/= street racing and crashing cars and folks getting injured but living are not the same situation but I guess that’s a matter of opinion.

If Rice worked at Wendy’s he probably wouldn’t have access to high-end sports cars or exotics to race in the first place, nor would we be talking about this case at all.

Also, IIRC Rice wasn’t charged with DWI or drug possession.

In any case, I don’t have a vested interest in him or the case, just thought it was effed up dudes were calling for him to be thrown in jail and joking about him being raped before he was even convicted of a crime, but that’s par for the course in this country with young brehs.

Yep. Nothing wrong with it either. I'd take $200K (or whatever the guy received) to get punched in the face. Hell, I've gotten punched for nothing!
