1.01 for Olave/1.04

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.01 for Olave/1.04

Postby Bay City Original » Mon May 06, 2024 4:49 pm

Team 3 in Sig.

OP:
Got offered Olave and JSN for 1.01. Was targeting Caleb but also have 1.06, possibly, for a QB in one falls.

I think it’s smash accept but am I overvaluing Olave and JSN in this type of offer?

UPDATE:
I traded the 1.01 for Olave and the 1.04. While Caleb and Harrison could be next level, I opted to take the gamble to get a much needed WR (Olave) and the prospect of Nabors or Daniels at 4.

Not sure if people consider this a "massive overpay" but I thought it was overpay enough to move back... thoughts?

It'd take a massive overpay for me to come off of CW or MHJr, this seems like a pay... I'm higher on these two than, and JSN in particular than most, so I'd be open to it. But if MHJr is what we think he is and these two don't take the next step this season, it's going to be tough.

If I stay at 1.01 I’m taking MHJ and a QB at 6…

However, this does add some depth to your WR room and it’s something you need. But I’m also overly higher on Olave and JSN than most guys are….

But the more I think while I type, I think I stay put and take MHJ as I think he will be better than Olave or JSN

Eh. :eh:

Like somebody else said, this was a pay, not an overpay. If you're happy that's what matters most but I would've needed the equivalent of another early first to even consider moving off it.

I think I personally would have kept the 1.01 just because the pick's value is so high that it would take a massive overpay to acquire it. Plus, in a 12 team SF, having 4 good QB options is a nice thing to have. And, you could always trade away one of the other QBs for other assets.

Getting Olave and then either Nabers or Daniels at 1.04 is not a bad thing by any means. Just not a instant win the trade scenario.

You got two early firsts value back in Olave and 1.04. if Olave has the season he should this year and Daniels/Nabers hit you may win this trade big time. I wouldn't say it was a smash accept, but it's a fair trade.

That’s a really good deal imo. If Caleb turns out to be elite, then it’s an even deal.

I mean that's fine too? I can either get a price I'm willing to accept or I can stay put and draft the "generational" prospects. Either way I win IMO.
