Re: 2024 Bad Trade Offers
I don't think a WR is worth 2X on the next WR (Nabers I actually have rated higher), or a QB that was taken top 3 in the NFL draft, in a 14 team SF. I think it's a bad offer, based on my evaluations, but if others think it's fair, or close, I'd just say I think the valuation of MHJ is off, in the community. Until he's putting up numbers that Lamb did last year, or JJ the year before, he shouldn't be valued like this, IMO.BabyChark23 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 4:13 amX2. I'd be interested to see some trades for him, in this format, as 14 team SF, 6 point per TD, QB's are pretty valuable.

Re: 2024 Bad Trade Offers
So presumably, if QBs are that valuable in this league then it would be reasonable to use a random 1st a year out to move up and snag Jayden Daniels, assuming your team needed a QB. I’d personally just wait and grab Drake Maye, but the community is irrationally low on him because he is in NE, so I could see someone preferring to move up for Jayden.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 4:41 amI don't think a WR is worth 2X on the next WR (Nabers I actually have rated higher), or a QB that was taken top 3 in the NFL draft, in a 14 team SF. Re: 2024 Bad Trade Offers
your offer was more than fair. the patronising "failed to identify a team with those needs" is bollocks, even a non-contender could think about getting two 1sts from those players later on, or maybe they also have a few 1sts to invest to be proper contenders, or maybe they just overvalue their team without necessarily being "clueless".WOATjohn wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 10:09 am I took over an safeleague orphan in a SF/TEP league. I offered CMC and Cousins
For 1.04, 2.04, Mayer and McLaughlin
He rejected and countered with
I give CMC
I get 2.04, McLaughlin and Shaheed
Uhhh that escalated quickly. I rejected and asked if he thought my offer was offensive and the reason he sent me such a sad counter but he never replied.
The team is a possible contender too, so it would have helped him.
QB: Tua, Wilson
RB: Achane, Najee, Jacobs, Moss, Spears, Zamir
WR: Addison, Hollywood, Cooper, Higgins, Ridley, Shaheed
TE: Mayer, Henry
they could also have replied saying that it's good value but they're looking for different pieces, rather than try to make you feel like the arsehole.

Re: 2024 Bad Trade Offers
I think this is going to happen more than people think in 14+ team Superflex leagues. I prefer Nabers to either Daniels or Maye in a vacuum, but getting QBs is damn near impossible and I think it'd be irresponsible for me to leave the top of round 1 without adding a potential franchise QB given my current team/line-up. Imagine a lot of other managers are in similar boats...BabyChark23 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:18 amThat’s pretty good value on Nabers at 5.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:01 amIt ended up going Daniels and Maye at 3 and 4. Wilson off the top of my head. The tier below the top guys. As I said, my issue is that I don't think MHJ is in some tier of his own vs the players at his position in his own class, nor do I think he should be worth close to an early/mid first on top of Daniels/Maye or whoever is your QB2 and 3, in a 14 team Superflex. I guess a lot of people do though.BabyChark23 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:13 amOut of curiosity to get a baseline, who are some current NFL receivers that you would have valued closely to MHJR?FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:02 amI can't believe people think MHJ is worth close to this much. That makes sense. For me personally, Jefferson, Chase, Lamb, ARSB, and Puka should all easily be valued over him. Then you get down into the Wilson, AJB, Waddle, Aiyuk, Smith, Olave, Pittman type guys. He’s somewhere near the top of that tier for me.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 9:27 amWilson off the top of my head. The tier below the top guys. 12 team Superflex/3 RB league.
There's an extra 1.13 pick at the end of the first round.
Top 2 RB's were gone. Penix was the last QB left, and I was OTC at 2.02, for context. So pick 15.
Was offfered 3.01, 4.06 and 4.11 for 2.02 (Penix)
