1 QB, have Stroud. Add Lamar or Caleb

12 team league. I already have Stroud. My team is very young but should contend. I can make a trade for Lamar that shouldn't cost my team essential pieces or draft Caleb. Stroud may never be a true top 5 finisher at QB because of his lack of rushing. Lamar is 27 and probably has several more years of elite numbers. Caleb is the unknown but seems to have that top 5 upside and rushing ability. Would you take the risk on Caleb? I don't need Lamar with Stroud already on my team, but after all the QB injuries last season, I'd like to have another quality QB.

QB: Stroud, Minshew
RB: Bijan, ETN, R White, Z White, Spears
WR: Lamb, Nakua, Olave, D Smith
TE: Laporta, Ferguson

Picks: 1.01, 1.02, 1.04

I don't see a reason to ever have two elite QBs in 1 QB those resources could be spent in more important areas on your team.

By asking a lot of questions on this forum and then making trades at the right time.

Depending on the cost, trading for LJax, although neither of these would be a high priority for me, especially since this is non-SF.

Personally, I'd stay put at 1.04 and take Marv, Malik, and either Rome or Bowers with those three picks.

While I understand your concern about Stroud's ceiling and IMHO we may have pumped too much gas in to him, I'm not doing anything at QB if I'm you. If Stroud ends up being a QB6-12 on a consistent basis that's plenty good in 1QB. Lamar isn't a sure thing either - as a Lamar manager he carries his own brand of risks and annoyances.

Just add three terrific players with those picks and roll in to the season. It's a luxury you get because of holding Stroud.

Yup Lamar has ruined some of my best team in the last few seasons because he never makes it to the fantasy playoffs. Last year he finally delivered on some titles but man could have had more

Stroud is more than good enough in 1QB, no need to dedicate any additional resources to position unless you encounter injury, etc.

repeating what others have said, in a 1 QB league, no reason to use major draft capitol or talent on a 2nd QB you will bench most weeks.
