CMC for R White+D Smith? (Change from original)

My team:
Stroud, Minshew
Bijan, Etienne, R White, Z White, Spears
WR: Lamb, Nacua, Olave, D Smith, Shakir
TE: Laporta, Ferguson
Have 1.01, 1.02, 1.04

Would you offer Etienne and Smith for CMC and the 2.02? Is that enough or would you add Zamir or Spears? He needs both RBs and WRs. He doesn't have a 1st this year, but I could ask for a 25 1st.

100% agree. He has a good team too, just missing a stud like CMC and could use another QB

When i declined I asked if he thought my offer was offensive which is why he sent me such an insane counter but he never replied.

I feel like most CMC owners still feel that he either an untouchable asset or will only listen to offers that are a king's ransom. If my offer is heavy, I could alternatively offer R White + Z White + D Smith. I don't know if he'd go for it. I could even try just R White + D Smith and see what he says. Does buying CMC make sense for my team? He's 27 so I know the dropoff is coming eventually for him, but I still expect elite production for 2 years. I could also ask for a 2025 1st from my original offer, but I don't think he'd accept that.

As a CMC owner I’d listen to that offer and I’m not even high on White. I’d rather have a young WR but that’s my own wants lol

If I'm rebuilding or even just retooling I'd smash ETN and Smith.

Would you make that offer if you had my team and how young my players are? I'm not real high on Etienne long-term. The alternative to going after CMC is Gibbs. Or just sticking with ETN.

If you can land Gibbs for a similar offer, do that. Otherwise, I'm fine as an all-in move adding CMC and also understand why another owner would agree to selling at that price.

I go back and forth on whether it's better to try and add CMC knowing he's got only 2-3 years left, but can win me it all - vs trying to add Gibbs and bet that he becomes a league winning type RB for the next 5-6 years. RBs are such a risk and many have said on here not to overpay at RB. The shallow format of my league makes me go against that advice a bit.
