#9 Chicago - Verse

1 - Caleb - CHI
2 - Daniels - WAS
3 - Maye - NE
4 - Harrison - ARI

Very awesome of you to do. My guesses are just for fun, no prize needed here.
Thanks. I'd be okay with Verse if all three of the top WRs are gone. I'd be bummed if Odunze was still there. But really, WR/LT/DE—as long as the guy is elite, I'm good with it.
I think its just who is left for them after 3 QB, 3 WR, Alt and either JJM if MIN moves up or Murphy. I've always thought a trade down there was the right choice, assuming a haul

Yeah, depending on how it falls, I could see them trading down. I've also heard rumbling about moving UP to get Harrison, but IDK how much I believe that.

A+ for me. I am absolutely thrilled. Caleb + Rome is an ideal outcome.

Caleb
Swift
DJM, Allen, Odunze
Kmet

That's a very good core. Best Bears draft I've ever seen. Hope we can get an elite Center at #75 now.

I thought they should have gone OL, but I'm way lower on Odunze than everyone else, seemingly.

Why? Less pressure to be #1WR. Allen will be gone in 1-3 years. Odunze will be 1B with chance to get 1A. With Caleb throwing for 4,000 yards there will be a lot of yard to go around.

Seriously!!! Over 100 years of history, and Bears are the only NFL team without a 4,000 yard passer.
Also the only NFL team without a 30+ TD passer.

So even if Odunze is as good as advertised, his ceiling in Chicago is amongst the best WR's in Bears history: Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffrey, Allen Robinson. Okay, not bad.

But the past 2 days before the draft, with rumors of Bills moving into the top 10 for Odunze, where he could have lived up to his NFL potential, a Terrell Owens comp, kind of disappointing moving from Terrell Owens to Alshon Jeffrey.

What are the Bills doing???
Poor Josh Allen gonna have to score all the points for the Bills this year.

Everyone remember last year on this thread when Fields was gonna throw for 4,000 and rush for another 1,000?

All joking aside, Wicker, I’m happy for you. The Bears do look to finally be putting something solid together. Far and away the best situation a number one pick has ever walked into.

I also remember the disconnect from the draft thread last night ... Odunze is in a great position as the WR3 in Chicago, but Bowers value should crater because he went to the Raiders who already have a decent TE. Same situations, but totally different outlook for the Bears rookie.

Chicago onward, Wicker! That sort of fandom can't be faked. You make me feel like a jaded fan instead of the real die-hard fan I used to be.

NFC Norse is looking like a seriously formidable division. Ought to be some really entertaining interdivisional games this year and other divisions aren’t going to be happy when it’s their year to catch the NFCN.

I think NFC North will be more interesting now, not sure they are to be feared just yet.
Gotta strengthen them defenses.

Still miles ahead of the NFC South though.

Bears offense looking great on paper. Division is definitely looking up the past few years with DET getting out of the dumpster, GB continuing their winning ways, CHI with a few great trades to rebuild, and MIN also taking their hopeful QB of the future
