Thoughts on startup

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Thoughts on startup

Postby mzkp54 » Tue Mar 19, 2024 6:57 pm

Just finished a startup. Appreciate any thoughts and where you'd go from here. A few other forum folks in this one too

12 team, Best Ball, SF, Full point TE premium, super deep. Start 11, draft was 41 rounds. Devy

I traded down a ton in this draft. Decided to go depth over top end guys, but that ended up with me not having my first pick until 3.11. Decided to go for a win now route so ended up trading away the rookie picks I drafted mid-draft. Still have all my future and devy firsts, but no picks this year.

QB- Cousins, Goff, Stafford, Rodgers, Brissett
RB- Barkley, ETN, Achane, Cook, Rhamondre, Ford, Dowdle, Mitchell, Dallas
WR- Hill, London, Smith, Deebo, Kupp, Ridley, Hollywood, Thielen, Shakir, CSamuel,
TE- Andrews, Kelce, Njoku, Muth, Gray

Feeling pretty good about it as a best ball roster in start 11. I generally think depth is the way to go, so I at least committed to my plan. What do you think?
12 tm/PPR/SF/TE+/Full IDP (start 11/11)/Contracts
QB- Kyler, TLaw Stafford
RB- Dowdle, Mitchell
WR- JJ, Lamb, ARSB, DJM, Kirk QJ
TE- Engram, Schultz
PK/CB-
DT- Wilkins, Vea
DE- Bosa, Young, Landry Ebukam
LB- Campbell,Speed, Mcfadden, Dodson
S-
1.02, 1.11

Looks like an exceptionally competitive roster. Should be an interesting year!

Looks like a masterclass in trading back and maybe taking advantage of others overvaluing devy picks and youth? This is a monster team and in best ball will be tough to beat. Is it weekly H2H or a seasonal scoring (total points, all play, etc)? If seasonal you could run away with it with this team (unless another team pulled off similar tactics). Head to head anything can happen of course

I think you looked at the wrong roster here, he listed this one in the post.
