In Matthew Berry's Fantasy Life newsletter this morning there was a blurb about how the Cowboys head team physician performed Brooks' ACL surgery. Gotta think they go for an RB in the draft and add a vet afterwards.

Brooks to the Cowboys feels like the least well kept secret like Jacobs to the Raiders.

I vividly remember 2010 startup drafts. In 2009, Arian Fosdter flashed a little bit. Everyone said in 2010 “the Texans will draft a RB”. They did. His name was Ben Tate. In startups, Tate went in round 5 or so. Arian went in rounds 15-17. Opportunity knocked though. I doubt that Rico is the next Arian Foster, but he still could have an opportunity until a rookie proves otherwise on the field

Let me ask a question: what QB (or any player) was QB6 and next season was a back up or irrelevant?

Jameis Winston was QB 2 or 3 in 2019 and a backup the next season and has been mostly irrelevant since then.

Sam Howell was the fantasy QB12 (ie a fantasy QB1 with many QB1 scoring weeks) literally just last year.

Just got traded for a 3rd-4th and 5th-6th pick swap.

Currently projected to be the Seahawks backup.
