Purdy for GWilson?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Purdy for GWilson?

Postby Bay City Original » Fri Mar 15, 2024 7:56 pm

Team 3 in sig.

Garrett Wilson is available and the owner is open to trade him for Purdy. I have the 1.02 pick and Harrison will be gone so I’ll have my choice of QBs.

Thoughts on moving Purdy for Wilson… and if so, what else should I reasonably offer with Purdy?

TIA

I’ll take Wilson over purdy in a vacuum, is he asking for something on top?

I agree.. Wilson > Purdy but wondering by how much more… I’d prob start straight up but wanna gauge how much I should consider bending (offering on top) in negotiations.

Honestly in a SF league I’m not sure you have to add anyone to Purdy side but I could see why. You should be able to do this deal straight up or at worst case a very minor add
Team 1
Dynasty 10 team, 22 roster + 6 Taxi, PPR
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, K, Def

QB: Love, Goff, Fields
RB: Bijan, Montgomery, Kamara, Ford, K Herbert, Zeke, Mattison
WR: Jefferson, Olave, London, Ridley, Sutton, Shaheed
TE: Kincaid, Kittle, Freiermuth
K: Tucker, Sanders
DEF: CLE

Taxi: Charbs, K Mitchell, Demercado, QJ, D Douglas, W Robinson, Hooker

Picks
2024: 1.03, 3.06, 3.09, 4.09
2025: 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 5
2026: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Team 2
Dynasty 10 team, 22 man roster + 6 Taxi, PPR, SF and TEP
1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 S Flex

QB: Allen, Goff, Watson, Jones
RB: K Williams, B Robinson, Chubb, Ford, Mostert, A Gibson, Dillon, Pierce, Zeke
WR: Olave, T Hill, Addison, D Adams, C Watson, D Johnson, G Davis, OBJ
TE: Kincaid, Kmet, Goedert

Taxi: Willis, DTR, Mims, K Miller, Demercado, Vaughn

Picks
2024: 1.08, 2.02
2025: 1, 3, 4, 5
2026: 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5

This. I'm not adding anything of consequence.

OP: If CW happens to go 1.01, do you still want to do this deal? Stranger things have happened than the 1.01 manager changing his mind or selling the pick.

If I make this deal for Wilson and CW goes #1, I guess my consolation would be Harrison, which isn’t all that bad. On the flip-side, I’d have the 1.02 pick as a trade chip as well to move back for a QB and something else or would need to work to get another QB somehow.

I guess to directly answer your question… I probably wouldn’t make the trade if CW was off the board.

The more I think about it, I might be better off having Dak, Purdy, Stafford, and “worst case,” CW on the roster. Theres probably more possibilities to improve the team with these guys in tow rather than trading it now. I’m not even sure the owner would accept a Purdy for Wilson trade…

Yeah I’m surprised how many people think Purdy and Wilson are this close. I have Wilson in a SF and I wouldn’t want the base of the trade on the other side to be Purdy

What’s the gap between the two? The owner is willing to have Purdy as the base.

well we all know we often cant go by the numbers on trade value charts but in SF Purdy is 77 and G Wilson is 66. As a guide still it's ok (i guess) to feel Wilson is more valuable but honestly i wouldnt add very much to the Purdy side... maybe a pick swap or a future mid 3rd rounder.

Not sure what chart you’re using but our own DLF SF has it flipped and a higher gap, GWilson 684 and Purdy at 509, which means the Purdy side would need to add this years 1.12. I still wouldn’t do it (as a GWilson owner) but seems about right. I’m not super high on Purdy tho

I missed that it’s only half point ppr, not sure what the passing tds are worth but half versus full point ppr definitely changes things. My comments were for full 1pt ppr. No idea how to rate players in half ppr lol
