Shcritters wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2024 4:08 pm I don’t know what happened the 2nd half of last year, but there’s something to be said of Peyton moving up to select him with his first pick in his tenure in Denver. He looked great with limited targets last year… part of me wonders if Peyton was trying to pump up Jeudy and Wilson (knowing they weren’t part of the longer term plans) so that they could get some trade value out of them. It didn’t work, but kinda the only thing that explains the usage last year.

And also have to believe they could have gotten more for Jeudy before the year or mid-season last year.
Payton also said that he liked Mims a lot and they are excited for him, they just failed to get him on the field due to Jeudy playing the same spot. Now that they re-homed Jeudy, should be wheels up for Mims. I'm excited to see what he can do. He was very young coming in and while he broke out early and produced well in college, was still a little raw coming in. A full offseason should help. I've got my eye on the QB situation there as a big one
I only own 1 share of Mims but I’m onboard with him having a breakout (of sorts) in 2024. The stars are aligning for him this season. Only doubt is who will be tossing the rock

In dynasty id rather have JSN over most of those guys, I dont drastically change my rankings of guys based on a single rookie season. If he had a rookie season like QJ I could understand being completely out on him but he was really solid last year all things considered .

JSN has played one season so im not sure how any of that matters. You should go back and take a look at Deebo's, Adams, Pittmans,Diggs rookie seasons .

WELP. I've been saying I'd buy JSN for ~1.08 in SF and that's looking less and less like good advice. Shouldn't need to pay that with this news. Plus the 1.08 has risen in value with the ascendancy of JJM. Still a good buy at the right price but the price needs to be lower.

That's my feeling on JSN.

I don't roster him anywhere. I would not mind rostering him, but the price I'd pay is not close to the value his owners place on him. I think he might eventually top out as a fantasy low-end WR2, like a Sutton/younger Boyd. His managers value JSN like he's the next Pittman/Keenan. That's too rich for me.

given his dead cap numbers, lockett was always more likely to restructure than to get cut, i doubt this news warrants a price drop.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what the story is? Lockett was not expected to get cut this offseason and it's not an extension. The deal just softens his cap hit for 2024.

I was under the (apparently incorrect) impression there was a legit chance he was gone. Regardless, he isn't.

This is absolutely relevant news. Lockett has previously talked about retiring when he turns 30 and kinda just left it up in the air recently. This basically locks him in for two more years. Kinda crushing to JSNs value in my view unless you’re in a full rebuild. Declining QB with two really good receivers to compete with. He’ll need injuries or something else to make him fantasy relevant this year or next.

X2, in 1QB earliest I’d pay is 1.06 (4 WRs and 1 TE I’d prefer to try than JSN)
