Would This Make Sense?

I won the championship this year. I've got a pretty young squad overall so I'm in good shape moving forward. In an ideal world, I could move Metcalf, 1.12, and '25 picks to move up into the top 7 this year, but I don't think that's going to happen. At this point, I would take Nabers at 1.03 (lots can change).

I've tossed around the idea of moving off of AJB this offseason, preferably for high pick(s). Moving him would mean taking a pretty big number out of my starting lineup. Does it make sense to move him now while his value is still high?

Could I get 1.04/1.11 for him?

Open to hearing opinions on what you would try to accomplish this offseason.

I get that you don't start games until September, and you take the value that comes in the draft, but I feel you need to be targeting QB as your first priority. If MJH falls to 1.03, I might be looking to sell the pick to the highest bidder for a top 8 QB, even if you had to add something to make it fly.

Anything after that is just refining/reshaping a very good team. TE stands out to me as the next long-term question. I'm thinking about using Metcalf to secure McBride/Kincaid at TE? If that's not an option, then AJB for a 1.06 plus the maximum you can get to grab Bowers is interesting to me. Or, if you get the 1.04/1.05 for AJB and secure Nabers or QB #3 (assuming you got a QB out of the 1.03, one way or another) plus something, then maybe you use the 1.12 plus what you got in the AJB deal plus something else to get that 1.06 and take Bowers. At which point then selling Engram is in play. Friermuth and Otton are trade bait to me, to help get better players at the position. But at worst, draft Sanders if you can't get Bowers or trade for a top 5 prospect. Good luck in '24 and beyond.

that team doesnt have an imminent need for youth or depth but i would be extremely tempted to get off ajb for 1.04 and 1.11. in fact in a sf id most likely do that as you are getting a top 2 qb or top 2 wr and another likely first or early 2nd nfl drafted talent at 11. and you could absolutely use qb for that squad

Made an offer. Didn't happen. The top regular season manager made a deal. Probably highway robbery. I typically don't chase the highest end QBs. I prefer solid options down the line a bit in order to build up the rest of my roster.
