Awesome news for Gibbs / LaPorta / ARSB, hell even Goff shareholders.

Will be -very- interesting to see what WAS do now, as it felt like they were truly holding off on a hire to wait for Ben Johnson / Lions elimination.

Also lowkey hilarious that Schefter gets to be technically correct on BJ not getting the WAS job - but that apparently the WAS plane was literally on the way to meet him when they got the word that he was pulling himself out of the running.

Crystal ball: Dan Quinn to WAS, Mike McDonald to SEA.

Also hilarious: Brandon Staley just interviewed for the Rams DC job. "Time is a flat circle" etc etc...

Was hoping for Johnson as my first choice for the Hawks, but now that's out the window I sure hope your crystal ball is magic Mild! McDonald was my second choice, and while the Quinn to Seattle rumors have obviously been rolling around, that hire just wouldn't excite me.

I'd really like to see a clean break from coaches/assistants who worked with the organization during Carroll's tenure. Let's start fresh in the PNW.
14 Team, No-PPR, 20 Man Roster, TD Heavy, TD = 6, FG = 3, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex, K, D
QB: L. Jackson, B. Purdy, T. Lance
RB: J. Mixon, N. Chubb, A. Dillon, J. Cook, K. Mitchell, J. McLaughlin, Z. Evans
WR: J. Chase, C. Godwin, D. Johnson, J. Reed, C. Tillman
TE: TJ Hockenson, D. Njoku, B. Jordan

14 Team, .5 PPR, 18 Man Roster, Rush/Rec TD = 6, Pass TD = 4, FG = 3, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, Flex, K, D
QB: L. Jackson, T. Tagovailoa
RB: B. Robinson, K. Walker, R. Stevenson, K. Herbertl

I hear you. I could easily see those two landing spots flipped; those two names definitely strike me as the most appealing ones remaining.

My reasoning for not having Quinn to Seattle is simply the timing of it currently. If they were sold on him, then what's the hold up? I think they would have done it already if that was who they -definitely- wanted.

Feels more likely they were waiting for MM to become available, which tells me they're not 100% sold on bringing in Quinn - and as you say, repeating a Carroll-era hire that got away from the Org. I guess we'll see.

I definitely agree that MM would be the more exciting hire, if the goal is rebuilding Seattle into it's defensive powerhouse identity of yester-year.

100% on both counts. I do think Johnson was also legitimately on their radar. If they can't land MacDonald, hiring Quinn would feel a bit like a consolation prize/participation ribbon at this point.

Slowik and Jerrod Johnson both confirmed as staying with the Texans, and Slowik's contract re-worked "aggressively" on the compensation front.

Arrow firmly skyrocketing for Stroud, Nico, Tank, and whoever their 2024 RB1 and TE1 is.

Said it in another thread. Maybe TE tiers? But really hoping it somehow ends up being Brevin Jordan. He was free off the wire.

And again, more coaches off the market. Washington and Seattle better get some pens to paper!

Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal with that is either. From what I understand, his players very much liked him.

He did have an interview in Seattle, but they didn't have him back for the 2nd round. Washington didn't even talk with him. I suppose the organizations didn't think he was a good fit? Hard to say exactly what the issue is.

I imagine he'll end up a coordinator somewhere at this point.

Mike MacDonald to Seattle.

Down to Washington as the last opening.

Very happy with this for Seattle. Looks like a 6-year deal. Now to see how he fills out the coaching staff.

As for Washington, at least there's no rush now and they can take their time in making a decision. Still seems pretty unclear which direction they'll go.
