FWIW - Kiper has Odunze #2 over Nabers. Kiper is what he is, but he at least watches the tape and has a perspective.

I thought Kiper's #2 was Coleman?

Kiper will always be a valuable resource. That said, I'm taking Nabers over Odunze without blinking.

There will be some interesting opinions on this class. Dane Brugler heard from some scouts who think Brian Thomas Jr. is as good if not better than Nabers.

Obviously, without knowing who these scouts are and their credibility, it's just a simple opinion. After all, we saw a GM take Quentin Johnston over Zay Flowers and Jordan Addison in real time.

Agreed on all of that. It's a really good WR class. And for whatever reason it seems folks are disappointed by that. Should be the opposite - build around WR (and QB in SF). Makes this a very fun draft IMO.

Dane and friends aren't the only ones hyping Brian Thomas Jr.

Gonna borrow the post on Reddit about it - but Trevor Sikkema and Connor Rodgers just posted their WR ranks:

I think these are pretty good. I don't know about McConkey at 7, but I will say that his tape is very solid. I just don't think he has much upside.

Interesting that they both feel similarly about Keon Coleman. I like Coleman, but I've enjoyed Thomas's tape much more.

Tez Walker has also looked very good.

I just won the 2nd spot in our draft and I am so excited about Nabers (from watching highlights), the guy reminds me a lot of CeeDee Lamb, routes, hands, contested/acrobatic catches, not the fastest but great YAC regardless (runs with that dawg in him when he has the ball in his hands like Deebo).

I will say the popular WR3 in Odunze is nasty in his own right
12 Team 1 ppr .1 points per carry
Garbage
QB Jalen Hurts
RB A-train, D'Onta Foreman,Jahmyr Gibbs, JK Dobbins, Rashaad Penny, AJ Dillon, Jerrick McKinnon, Joshua Kelley, TDP, Chase Edmonds, JRob, Zamir White
WR CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, DJ Moore, Hollywood Brown, Brandin Cooks, Odell Beckham Junior, Marvin Jones, Braxton Berrios, Richie James
TE Dalton Kincaid, Foster Moreau
+2 Flex
1.02, 1.06

It's that 12th percentile separation statistic over the last 2 years that's scaring them.

For a guy as athletic as he is, it's very bad that his separation skills are basically non-existent.

He's a freak of nature. The good thing about him though is that he plays up to his size and athleticism. His talent pops very often. I don't expect him to win in the ways that Harrison or Nabers do, but he'll have to make strides with his route running either way. His game is going to be one of those receivers who's open because of his size, athleticism and catch radius and not because he's leaving defenders in the dust.

Former GM, right... Wonder if such a selection might have been another nail in his now sealed coffin?

It 100% was.

But ultimately, with Telesco - it's exceedingly rare to see a GM in the NFL with a decade of tenure, and as little success as he has had in that time - keep their job.

Selecting Herbert clearly bought him time - but it's one of the few bright spots on an otherwise -extremely- middling performance as the Chargers GM.

McCord to Syracuse. You think he could have done better than that. I wonder how much the paid up for him. Based on the stuff coming out Columbus, sounds like he was looking for more nil money and the buckeyes weren't willing to pay or guarantee the starting job. So long Kyle.
12 Team, 1QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1Flex, D, K, 10 Bench
1PPR, 0.5 point per carry.
Burrow, Richardson
AJ Brown, DJMoore, G Wilson, T Higgens, Sutton, Tillman, Melton
King Henry, Bijan, Pacheco, Mixon, Ford, JK
Hockenson, Musgrave
Random Kicker
Niners

Picks in 2024 - #15, #22, #23, #27

As an OSU fan I wasn't especially disappointed when he transferred. He was fine but that's about all he was. My guess is he would have had a real fight on his hands to get the starting job next season.
