He looked OK on a few plays. Geno was terrible and the OL was over matched. You could do worse than Charbs as your temporary lead back, with your top RB on the shelf. He missed a few assignments, rookie stuff, but the effort is there. How many teams RB2 would you be impressed with as the lead back vs the 49ers, to be fair? I know he looked similar last week, but Charbonnet is a solid RB, he's just not getting the same efficiency now, because that's just how it goes when you get more volume.
Also they were down big from the start. The game script wasn’t good for any RB in that situation. Not making excuses but I would look forward before I completely judged him.

Game script was good for lighter boxes, being down big, typically the D softens their run D a bit, but the 49ers front is just stout. Also helps for checkdowns, for PPR, but there was just nothing there for him in the receiving game. 49ers D is very good. With Geno not being healthy, and the OL overmatched, it was always going to be tough sledding.

One thing is certain, Zach Wilson is as bad as Tim Boyle.

What was the point of starting Boyle? Strange decision by the Jets.

Kicking the can down the road. Trying to keep the defense showing up to practice. Maybe they go to Trevor next week for another 1 week of hope that the offense won’t be bleep. After that…no idea.

Players don't believe it when coaches say "we have to keep starting the bad player because the next guy in line is even worse." Players believe every other player is like themselves ... that they are busting at the chops to get a chance to be good. The coaches kept hoping Zach would show enough to hold back the players demands for a change.

Now that they players have all seen how inadequate Boyle is, the coaches could theoretically go back to Zach. The problem is, Zach's psyche was already teetering on the edge of empty. Being benched for a QB as bad as Boyle might take Zach to a place he can't come back from.

Anyone find screenshots of the ingredients to that leftover sandwich they gave to Tyreek and Wilkins? I’ve been googling since the post game to find it.

Yeah, they basically hinted towards this in the game that the Jets were in jeopardy of losing the defense if they didn't hold the QB accountable. By the numbers, this is one of the worst offenses in recent memory.

If you have Amazon, you can probably go back and look at the clip. They put the ingredients up for about 1.5 seconds, then it disappeared. Right before they brought the sandwiches on set, when they were rolling the cart behind the set on the field.

Yeah it is just down right ugly in the Meadowlands. Not sure there is a salvageable fix for the rest of the year. In fact, I’m actually questioning even if Rodgers can win with this offense. Championship teams with great Ds just need an offense with a QB that can be a game manager. While I may be over simplifying it, that shouldn’t have been too hard to find in a QB.

Just goes to show how freaking valuable it is to have a QB-friendly scheme, and a QB who can come in and keep the trains running on time.

Say what you want about a guy like Minshew, but can you imagine how much Jets fans would salivate if they could have Minshew under center??

With Breece Hall & Garrett Wilson, you should be able to be SOMETHING better than the ugliest offense in the league (by a mile)

Tim Boyle just isn't a backup calibre QB.

He was brought in along with Allen Lazard (who signed for 44 million dollars  ) and Randall Cobb because they're Aaron Rodgers buddies.

Trevor Siemian is the best QB on that roster by a large margin but I think we're in the midst of a power struggle between the players and front office and they're not in the interest of fielding the best team possible.

Starting Boyle was a concession to the defense to say, "hey look, we're listening, but don't you wish you had Zach back there instead?"

Fun facts that may interest only me:

There have been 4 QBs that have thrown a pick six so far this week: Howell, Purdy, Tua, Boyle

I have all 4 of these QBs in team #4 in signature

This is the only league I play in that in addition to -2pts for ints, you also get an additional -6pts for pick sixes

I also have Browning and DTR so hoping to go 6/6 on starting QBs getting pick sixes this week.
