Hock for Andrews

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hock for Andrews

Postby mzkp54 » Fri Nov 17, 2023 2:51 pm

In a total rebuild. I traded a 1st/2nd for Hock a few weeks ago (still have 4 1sts each of the next 3 years).

One of the top contenders just lost Andrews and expressed interest in Hock. His only pick is a 25 1st that has a decent shot of being early.

Trying to think of what a good offer is for Hock could be (he offered a 1st and 3rd which I’m not taking).

What do you think of offering Hock and a 2nd for Andrews and a ‘25 1st?

I think you should try it. A contender should be willing and able to make that kind of trade. Hock was putting better numbers so far this season, and now Andrews is out. The swap of those two justifies the pick upgrade.

I think the value is here long term with the 1st coming back. The way Hockenson is playing and some managers only looking at the short term, you may not need to include the 2nd? An out and out contender losing Andrews is a big deal and they may be in a bit of panic mode.

I'd make that offer. The chance that the pick could be early gives pretty significant upside here (even if it is 2 years away). You maybe can explore leaving out the 2nd but given that the other owner has already made a 1st + 3rd for Hock offer I'd be surprised if they bite.

I would rather have Hock and the 2nd, even in a rebuild.

Maybe hock for andrews and a 25 1st would move my needle. Maybe.

I started with hock and a 3rd. I’m not hopeful but we’ll see.

Would you do a similar type of move with TLaw for a burrow if possible?

I would rather move from TLaw to Burrow than from Hock to Andrews. That's me personally.

I just offered Hock for Andrews and a 2025 1st from a strong contender. I'd be willing to add a small piece like a 3rd or maybe a 2nd to get it done.

This for me too. Hock is quite a bit younger than Andrews.
