Fields for Watson

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Fields for Watson

Postby dmac37 » Thu Nov 16, 2023 9:19 pm

My team, Superflex team in my signature somehow appears to be out of the running this year. It may be time to flip a few assets to improve draft position and look to next year. Another owner wants Fields for Watson, what should be added to Watson to make this fair?

Did Watson start showing flashes of the old Watson and wheels up for next year? Fields seems done in Chicago, will he still have a lot more value than Watson if he is done in Chicago?

Fields easily. He has a way higher ceiling and we have seen the Watson argument that he could bounce back to elite or solid starter but have seen very little of that. There is no reason to acquire into Watson at this price or many prices really.

As stated "what should be added to Watson for Fields". Watson plus a 1st too much, Watson plus a 2nd too little?

I read that the other way for some reason, my mistake! If you can land Fields for Watson + a 2nd, I would happily gamble on Fields for the cost and to get out of Watson on so many levels.

I'm not a Fields believer long term, but Watson not only is missing another half a year of football, but he was already struggling to knock rust off. I'd rather gamble on fields right now in the event he ends up with a coach that can leverage his abilities better than Eberflus has.
