Yeah. If your plan is to draft a qb, you might as well just go stroud and know you got a real one. If the plan is not to take a qb, then holding is fine too.
You think MHJ is 1.01 or meaning trade back from 1.01?
I will have the 1.01 in two 12 team SF TEP leagues, and as of this moment, I plan to take MHJ with the 1.01 in both leagues.
In my experiences, QB's are totally overvalued in SF leagues, since my leagues tend to be upside down.
Teams with better QB's are near the bottom of the standings while teams with weaker QB's are at the top of the standings.

In one league where I have the 1.01, my QB's are Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Jordan Love.
In the other league where I will get the 1.01, my QB's are Herbert, TLaw, Watson, Pickett, Z. Wilson, and Dobbs.

Teams in 1st place in these leagues have Carr, Geno, Dobbs, Winston, DeVito in one league, and Goff, Stafford in the other league.

These stats seem to indicate that spending top capital on the QB position is a mistake.
I would try to trade down, but realizing how little value QB's have in these leagues, I would be shocked if anyone was interested in the 1.01 for any other player besides MHJ.

My SF league is similar and managers also put a lower value than the DFL crowd on QBs in general.

Three teams tied for first right now:
One: Burrow/R.Wilson/no other QBs
Two: Hurts/Purdy/no other QBs
Three: Love/Z.Wilson/Garrop/Cousins

Folks routinely start non-QBs in the SF. It's not like I can post to the message board educating them why this isn't the best strategy! It's what they're doing and it's working in a way. I'm not going to be able to trade with them and get the kind of values we routinely discuss here in the forums. Net/net: Know your league.

this can't be Superflex because Stroud is worth way more than 1.01. In a standard league, the way hes playing I'd say hes slightly valued at 1.01... I mean you might have the new Mahones for the next 12 yrs! but QB is always easy to replace. As a Stroud owner in 1 league, If I got offered 1.01 I would take it but it would be tough

I definitely don’t think he is 1.01 or really that close in standard, but in SF he is worth more than 1.01 imo.

The debate was SF TEP I believe
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

24 - 1st x 3, 2nd x 2, 4th x 3 ,5

Yeah, our leagues seem very similar, it would blow these QB is king in SF gurus minds.

In 3 of my 12 team SF leagues, current 1st place team QB's are:

1. Goff/Stafford
2. R. Wilson/Stafford/Tannehill/Dobbs/Levis
3. Carr/Geno/Dobbs

Meanwhile, I have the 1.01 in 2 leagues with:

1. Mahomes/ J. Allen/ J. Love
2. Herbert/TLaw/Watson/ Pickett/Dobbs

And a friend of mine has the 1.01 in his league with: Kyler, Stroud, Watson

We all plan on taking MHJ with the 1.01.

Very likely with you on that call.

I have Kyler/Tua/Carr/Levis/Willis/DTR/Zappe/Cunningham

Carr has little value in my league - I shopped him so I know. It's better just to use him as a QB3 and free myself up to take MHJR who will be a weekly starter for me. We start eight position players plus QB/SF. Depth matters a bunch. I'm fine to start Kyler/Tua most weeks. I hope CW hits big - will be great for football. But I can live without him on my team.

Doesn't hurt that I have five firsts and what should be the 2.01. Can get a lesser QB than CW to add to the mix if I want.
