What Win Now RB can I get for Stroud?

I’m considering another trade that sends Henry+Hopkins for Mahomes, but that will hurt my “win now” chances… so now considering the idea of doing that deal with the expectation I immediately flip Stroud to replace Henry. Small dynasty league with 10 owners and only 10 keepers year over year so tends to be full of super teams and garbage rebuilding teams.

1. Would you consider giving up Stroud after acquiring Mahomes?

2. Assuming over the two deals I’d be giving Henry, Nuk, and Stroud, what kind of RB can I expect to gain? Do you think I could pull an Etienne, Ekeler, or Breece Hall level for him?

I don't think you will get anywhere near that tier in a 10 team 1 QB format. All TD's being worth 6 points jumps up the value of QBs, but I think this is aiming pretty high unless QBs hold big market value. It's really tough to gauge the value league to league but maybe in the Najee Harris range? He is been okay this year. Montgomery on the gamble or James Conner and hope he comes back well?

QBs are over valued by sellers in this league… BIG TIME, less so by buyers… I put out feelers and the Breece owner laughed at me, I then replied with “What what a Mixon, Javonte, or Ford +?” and haven’t gotten a reply yet.

The Ekeler owner and the Etienne owner are both trade fiends, but still waiting on reply.

Sounds like if any of those hooks set you’d suggest to reel them in tho.

I mean, sorry for being harsh, but that’s a laughable offer for Breece Hall, so he was entirely justified in laughing at you. It seems like your valuations are pretty out of whack. In a 10-team, 1QB 10-keeper league, studs rule.

Look at it like this: you’d obviously trade Henry + Nuk for Breece if you could, right? And probably for Etienne too? If so, then you’re essentially trying to sell Stroud at a Mahomes-level price.

Someone like Montgomery, Mixon or Jones is probably a more realistic target, and even then it’d probably have to be a rebuilding team.

One for one RB, I think you're looking at Monty, B.Robinson (WAS), Najee, Mixon range of guys. Even that may be hard to get because I suspect most owners already have a serviceable QB. I'd need to feel like Stroud was a big upgrade over my current option to move one of those guys unless I was already done for the season.

For sure this. While SF would be a completely different conversation, Stroud is just a dude among many other dudes. There isn’t much difference between the output of QB 5-12 points wise. This means studs rule at the other positions. And you are not even sniffing one of them dangling Stroud as bait.

Oh my no! I in no way meant to be condescending! I was actually feeling stupid because it clear from other offers that I’m overvaluing Stroud (to be fair my league mates tend to all overvalue the QBs they own) so when I got an official offer that included Mostert I got nervous because I assumed the others here would advise I accept it and I get nervous selling off big players like Henry. Year to date Mostert is the #2 scoring RB in my league, but with his injury history and with Achane coming back, I just get nervous I’m going to screw up my chances to win it all.

I honestly don’t know how to value Mostert right now and need help.

I also didn’t seem to be clear, when offering those trades of Stroud for an RB, I meant as a base starting point. With each owner I asked what would need added to Stroud but I realize I never said that here clearly. For the Etienne owner, I’m waiting to hear, but I offered Stroud+R1 or 2xR1s or Mostert+R1+R2

No worries, I was just trying to interpret the tone and it’l can be damn near impossible online. Haha

Mostert just got sold cheap in one of my leagues. For Kyren Williams and 50% BB money. He then spent it all on Keaton Mitchell. So effectively it was Kyren and Keaton for Mostert.
