What is Tank Dell Worth?

1 QB 10 team league, Going to 3 WR starters next year. I drafted Dell with a 3rd rd pick & although inconsistent, he's been a pleasant surprise. I got a trade inquiry yesterday from the Stroud Mgr. asking about Dell. My team is #9 & Stroud mgr. team is #10, & those #s are unlikely to change.
I responded, asking for his '24 2nd (2.01) & T Allgeier. He also has Bijan. I think he'll trade me either the 2nd, or Allgeier alone, but he said NO to the pkg.
I like Dell's QB, talent & situation, but not sure how to value him. Is the "24 2.01 alone enough (I'll have the 2.02 also) for Dell? What about Allegeier alone or + the "24 3.01 ?

I think an early 2nd is a fair return for Dell but he is also a fine hold overall. Any 1st is really solid value.

Yep. I'm not selling for a 2nd. But I'm not expecting to get a 1st either.

Maybe 2.01 and 3.01, the owner has 1.01 he ain't shipping a 1st for him... not sure the gap between a late 1st and 2.01 is all that meaningful.

id keep dell over an early 2nd, hes freaking awesome. 2nd and a 3rd i might consider it but idk hes a guy id be happy to own and think he can be a regular in the lineup before long. i think hes gonna have a ton of 8+ catch games in his career, hes just getting going and hasnt had any high volume reception outings yet. they will come and his floor will rise a lot

In your situation, I don't think Allgeier is much of an asset in a 10tm league. I like him, but if your league is starting only 20-25 RBs a week, Allgeire probably isn't getting much run on a contender. I have Allgeier on teams in 12tm and 14tm leagues, and he's not a regular starter for me in either. I'd hold Dell over a 2nd.

Really hoping the guy accepts. I don't need Ford to make my push this season and he'll be on my bench after bye weeks are over. The other guy really needs a RB and shouldn't take a chance on an uncertain guy like Mitchell. I'm a lock for the playoffs and will probably get a bye. He's in a 7-way fight for the last three playoff spots and just picked up Keaton off waivers.

Idk that Dell is likely to be a weekly starter on many contenders in a league like that.

So I’d take the 2.01 (due to the liquidity of picks vs players) and use it to package up in the draft or something next year.

119 targets / 75 receptions / 1,234 yards / 14 TDs

I know, I know. I actually loathe extrapolating from a small sample size, too. But I'm not giving up a player with that playmaking skill already on display during his rookie season and that greater potential still lurking for 2.01. Obviously, he might bust. But no way I'm cashing out at 2.01. Not in a million years -- and especially not in a 1QB league.

When I say I’d sell him for the 11th best rookie, it’s not as if I think holding Dell is foolish or that selling him is the no-brainer obvious choice.

Not really sure I'd even sell for some random 1st at this point. But I liked him ever since I started watching tape. And then even more when Stroud made sure the Texans drafted him. And now even more looking at his numbers.
