London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
Guessing everyone has MHjr ahead of him. But how many other people would you rather take a shot on versus taking him now?

Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
Top 5 at a minimum.
MHJ I for sure like more. Nabers I very likely like more. Coleman may end up someone I take over him. And I'm 100% by the time the draft rolls around at least 1RB will have enough value to be in consideration (though all things equal, I usually lean WR). No one else in 1QB I think would surpass him at this stage.

Depending on combine, draft capital and situation one could make an argument for Bowers, Odunze or Egbuka.
I will say that London has proved he belongs in the NFL and is capable of being a #1 for a team, even if he’s not winning leagues right now. So I’d say he’s the safer play. More than likely one of those other WRs will be better than him, but not only is that a gamble, you have to pick the right one.

Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
Not all 1st round draft classes are created equal. I think it would be prudent to put names and faces to those picks to properly evaluate London's worth. At this stage I can think of 3 to 5 prospects I'd rather have over London. He averaged 46 ypg with a WR37 finish to his rookie year and is currently the WR38. If Drake London doesn't improve on this status, come "shiny new toy" season, he will be yesterdays news and worth less than 6 to 8 of the top picks come draft time next year. I would hate to pay more than a late 1st at this time. It's not as if this guy is winning games for you at the moment.

Two things can be true. London is a good talent and is a good player to roster. London may never make that huge jump to being a fantasy WR1 and if he does not his value will not be as high as it currently valued.
A lot of young talented WRs flash, but never become a fantasy WR1. Let the numbers be your final arbiter.
If London is going to linger in that Gabe/Sutton/Boyd points territory, flipping him for any 1st next year will be impossible. If London starts posting numbers like Amon/Lamb/Diggs, he will be worth a lot more. Personally, I think the outlook for London is aligning more and more away from Lamb/Diggs. ... but I understand wanting to give his talent a little more time.
Tough value needle to thread for London holders or pursuers.

Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
I'm very high on London and would have traded any picks after the 1.01 (Bijan) in 1QB for him last year.
I believe the top WRs in the '24 class are significantly better than '23 so I'd be more hesitant to trade a top pick for London. In my devy league I don't think I'd give Bowers or Nabers for London (obviously not MHJR). Bowers is a tricky one because TE is so tied to situation. If he lands right, he's gold. I also believe there will be a RB to emerge - looking more and more like Henderson. Coleman and Odunze look very promising. Egbuka has slipped a bit IMO - still like him, not as much as London.
Long/short: I'm probably holding a top-5 pick over London. After that, probably prefer London.

Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
London is an incredibly tough evaluation. He has scored WR1 (top 12) points three times in his career so far, one of which was a week 18 matchup that I doubt any fantasy folks used. He hasn't been particularly good at anything from a productivity or efficiency standpoint. He's not fast, doesn't get many deep targets, and really doesn't excel at YAC. Lots of the things I was worried about at draft time - paired with a horrible QB and a coach that could care less if Drake London has talent to make tough catches.
On the flip side, while I don't think he has the elite talent to overcome the bad QB/system, I think he could be quite a bit better with a decent QB and/or on a system that doesn't go out of it's way to feature Jonnu Smith.
I'd be taking MHJ and Nabers over him easily. Both of those guys have elite upside traits. By draft time, I have a feeling Henderson will jump him in ADP as will Bowers. So 1.05-1.07 in 1QB seems appropriate. In SF, it's going to be more like 1.07-1.10 when we add the QBs in.

If I could get a top 5 pick for him, I would do it instantly. I might even take 1.06-8 for him if you don't think his situation improves. He will likely be stuck in the mud for another year or 2. I definitely don't see it improving rest of year, so come rookie draft season, those picks are going to be rising steadily and London is going to be a great WR prospect who just hasn't quite hit expectations. He's hovered between WR12-24 most his career in rankings. I see that dipping to WR30ish once you add in rookies, if he does not pick up the pace this year. Could be a good sell now, buy later if you truly believe. I am not a huge fan, but admit its mostly based on situation. Feels like Sutton all over again

Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
I'd consider trading London for a Top 3-4 pick in this class. So, that would be Harrison, Nabers, Bowers, and Coleman.
Outside of that? No chance. London is a really good player, who's being hurt by a really bad situation. Every big talent in that offense is being killed by bad QB play (London, Pitts) or coaching right now (Bijan).
I'd rather hope that the Falcons somehow improve at QB in the offseason. And there's actually a pretty solid chance that they can do that if Kyler Murray or Kirk Cousins are realistic options for them.

Not sure that I can put a value on London versus the 2024 WR class until I know who the Falcons HC will be in 2024.
London and Kyler were my 2 biggest off-season acquisitions, so 2023 has been a rough season so far.

Same here and I'd do it again. Both were undervalued significantly. Kyler is already bouncing back and hasn't played a snap.MacDaddy123 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2023 11:00 pm London and Kyler were my 2 biggest off-season acquisitions, so 2023 has been a rough season so far.

While I don’t own any shares of Kyler, I agree with this. London especially needs to break out. ATL offensive strategy is mind bogglingtstafford wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 3:46 amSame here and I'd do it again. Both were undervalued significantly. Re: London V 2024 1st draft spots in 1QB
There is so much to play out between now and when we actually know what rookies come out/combine and all. London is a good prospect but needs a stable long term QB to really see what he is/can be. Who knows when or if that happens. London is a mid 1st for me with risk but also good potential.
