Kenny Pickett has 6 fourth quarter comeback wins in his career.

Second most in the NFL since 2022

I actually missed this pun, the first time around.  Well played, sir.

Yep. It's a joke..."but that's the rule". I love how they all know it's garbage, but that's the only defence left for it.
What is it about the rule that these dopey linemen don't understand?

Pickett really is giving me Tebow vibes right now lol (I know he’s better than Tebow, but every week watching him look horrible and then have a game winning drive (sometimes a really impressive one) Is almost comical at this point)

The Steelers offense is just bad, bad, bad, and bad. I have no idea how Matt Canada has survived this long. There's no way the offense can support two good WRs consistently in its current form. Diontae is always going to be the best bet, because he gets open and creates good throwing windows. Pickens looks a little better as a route runner this year, but as long as Johnson is on the field, he's not getting those first reads much.

I really don't know what their vision is for Pickett.

- He's a low volume passer
- He doesn't throw downfield much.
- He's not really a dual threat
- The Steelers don't really have a strong run game

He's just kind of there? Somehow he ends up making the right plays in the end for them to win, but more than anything it just seems like Pittsburgh is this year's Minnesota. They're 5-0 in one possession games. All of their losses are by multiple possessions.

Just a really mediocre team with great karma.

Yea, last night was the first game they actually deserved to win and even that wasn't pretty... Last year I thought Pickett was sneaky impressive and just held back by an inferior scheme. This year, I don't think its that simple and Canada (although still running an outdated scheme) has become a bit of a scapegoat for Pickett's regression.

At this point, I think its obvious its just down to another grind-it-out, try to sneak into playoffs as mediocre team year... and next year see if Pickett can make a big leap with a new OC / scheme. If not, probably going to search for a QB again...

They'll do that sht for years. I wish they would just start searching for the new QB now. Even if you want to make the argument that Kenny Pickett should be a starter in the NFL and/or just needs time, there's no special there. And to get through the AFC gauntlet (or literally your own division), you're going to need someone that's a force multiplier to some degree. He's not that. But since he's the hometown kid and Pittsburgh is all about loyalty, they'll stick with him through mediocrity until this otherwise solid roster ages out

I have the same fear, but realistically, I'm not sure what their other options are, if you want a younger franchise QB. I guess you can make argument that they are good enough to win with Kirk Cousins, so maybe that as a temporary fix, but we'll see how expensive that'll be / if he's even available.

As far as next year's rookies, I don't think they'll finish with a high draft pick, so I'm fine with giving Pickett one year with a real coordinator and seeing what happens.

What pisses me off is this was entirely a wasted year. Keeping Canada on this year was an obvious and immediately known way to throw away the year they should've used to determine if they can eliminate Pickett as their future QB....

As a Vikings fan, I’m excited to see what Jaren Hall does this weekend (too bad it’s at the expense of Kirk; he was playing well).

I don’t have high expectations (in fact it won’t surprise me if he falls flat on his face and Dobbs is starting the following week), but there’s always a glimmer of hope that MAYBE he comes out and plays like a rookie Purdy, Prescott, Howell, etc. Unexpected late round guy that sticks. Gives us a cheap QB to build around.

For what it’s worth, he didn’t look scared at the end of last game, and made some decent reads/throws

Forgot to set my lineup for team C, where I’m 6-2 but fighting for dear life to maintain a high seed going into the playoffs (my QBs & TEs are ROUGH)

So I lose Henry for this week 😖. That hurts. Jeff Wilson or Zeke will have to take his spot.

I feel like Waddle needs to be put in traction for three weeks or something. He has been awfully fragile of late. Not saying it isn’t legit, but he’s either got very bad luck, or his body is failing him and he needs time to mend…
12 teams, 6pts all TDs, 1/2 pt PPR. 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D, 2 FLEX RB/WR/TE

If he doesn't return this game, I'm ready to put the injury-prone label on him. And that would be unfortunate, as a shareholder and a Dolphins fan. I don't think it's a legit label for his career, but man he's been frustrating this year.

Good news is they've got the BYE in Week 10. Hopefully the extra rest gets Waddle and the rest of the team healthy for the stretch run.
